2053 Words
Third-Person POV It has been six months since Emily Solidad fell into the abyss, and it has been six months since she became a slave to a heartless alpha. As her left foot rested with chains on it, she quietly cleaned the Alpha's room with blood stains from eating his food. Only the sound of the chain can be heard inside the room. She breathed a sigh of relief as the alpha came out to look for his favorite food again. In recent days she has noticed that the alpha is always hungry. When she first found out about the wolves, Emily was terrified. She thought it was the end of her life but what made her even more worried was that the alpha made her a slave. During the six months she spent in the Alpha's home, she experienced grief at his cruel hand. She never thought that this would be the outcome of her decision to abandon her mission. She thought that her life was miserable already. Not only that, but she was hoping that she could turn back time. "I wish I hadn't run away from the camp. I wish I was still with my family," she said sadly. She was worried about her youngest brother who was sick and his mother who was now worried about her. In her last moment with her family, she saw trauma in her brother's eyes from the attack of the terrorist. "If I had just faced the mission and not let my fear win over me, I would have been with my family and I could have saved my town." Emily was very sorry for her wrong decision, but she wondered if her decision was really wrong or not. While arguing her mind suddenly the door opened loudly, and she saw the red eyes of the alpha. He angrily entered while carrying the head of a wolf. Emily screamed in fear, but she also immediately closed her mouth when the alpha turned to her. "Quiet!" shout of the alpha. His voice thundered inside the room and his gaze seemed to want to eat her. The alpha tossed the severed head in front of Emily. She was curious at the same time she was almost vomiting. Emily's stomach suddenly turned and she fainted. Until now, she is still not used to seeing the alpha tossing a beheaded wolf in front of her. She could not understand why she always received a beheaded wolf by the alpha. When Emily woke up, she was still on the floor, but the beheaded wolf was no longer in front of her. She sat up nicely, and she turned her sight around, and she saw the alpha sitting in the chair while reading. "Take a bath and use the clothes over the bed," the alpha said coldly. Authority is evident in his voice. Even though her knees were weakening from what had happened earlier she tried to stand up. The alpha stood up and faced her. "You go to the dinner table then," he said while looking at her seriously. The alpha threw the key in front of her and left the room. Because of what the alpha said Emily looked at herself and smelled herself. She almost fainted at the smell of it. Only now did she notice that since she was stranded in the world of wolves, she had not had a chance to clean herself up. She picked up the key and looked at it. Her heart was beating so fast because of nervousness from the thought she could escape. Her hands were shaking, and she accidentally dropped the key in the floor causing an echo sound in the four corners of the alpha's room. She picked it and held it tight with an intense gaze. "It's my chance to escape now," she whispered in the air. She didn't know wolves have sensitive hearing. She immediately removed the chains from her left foot and picked up the clothes on the alpha's bed. Likewise, she would have run away when the alpha appeared in front of her. Shock was visible in her face and her hands started to tremble. She sat on the floor in shock. It was as if her heart was about to flee from its cage. "I warn you. As soon as you run away, I will eat you alive," said the alpha and left in front of her. Emily's nervousness still subsided and due to the alpha's threat, she forgot the idea of escape. She put her right hand in her left chest as if she had been caught. She stood up again and hurried into the Alpha's bathroom while carrying the clothes she was going to wear. Furthermore, she immediately put the dress on the side and opened the shower. The hot water came out of the shower, and she just closed her eyes when the hot water touched her skin. She thought again. "I served in the army to gain the freedom of my people from terrorists. I did not serve in the military to be just cowards. I have to think of a way to escape this mess. Not only that, but I must think of a way to escape the monster's territory," Emily's determined decision. Despite her determination the fear she felt from the alpha has never gone away like it was planted in her system. She cleaned herself well, and then she realized the elegant view of the bathroom she went in. She was surprised to see the entirety of the bathroom. Not only that, but she was also surprised because there was soap and shampoo as well. There is also a bathtub. There are also things that are similar to humans and wolves, but she also thinks that man is human, and the monster is a monster. She thought that there are similar ways of living about humans and wolves. She used the alpha soap and shampoo, and she liked the smell of it. Even if she doesn't want to use the alpha's personal hygiene, she has no choice. She can't stand her current situation, and she can't think properly because her smell was distracting her. After taking a bath, she immediately dried herself and put on her clothes. It is a white long sleeve paired with denim shorts up to the knee. She looked at herself in the mirror and her brown eyes and expressive features on her face were noticeable. She does not look bad anymore, and she is now more comfortable with the clothes she is wearing. Her long black hair that reached up to her hips was letting her loose. She decided to leave the room. This was the first time she came out of the room, and she was amazed at its design. But she noticed the sadness all around. "How can this elegant structure be sad at its first glance?" She thought. It was an old structure. As she walked barefoot a boy ran towards her. She stopped walking and looked at the boy running in her direction. It has an innocent face, and he looks like alpha. "Could it be he is his son?" she shakes her thoughts. "So, it's you. My older brother George has been waiting for you," he said as he reached in front of her and held her hand. Emily was shocked by what the boy had done and thought he might be a wolf too. She immediately let go of the boy's hand, so the boy wondered what she had done. Emily is a skeptical person so even the boy in front of her has an innocent face she never lets her guard down. "Why?" an innocent question of the boy came out of his tiny mouth. Emily suddenly felt guilty and saw her brother in the child in front of her. Emily just shook her head and smiled at the child. Again, the boy took her by the hand and led her to the dining table. She wondered where the boy brought her. "Who is George?" a question that was on Emily's mind. When they arrived at the dinner table, only two people were sitting in front of the long table full of food. An eighteen-year-old woman and the alpha were sitting there. Well, she doesn't know the age of the woman, and she just based it on her looks. Their eyes met again and for the first time Emily had just noticed the entirety of the alpha's face. The boy guided her to the chair. She is now facing the alpha and next to her is the woman she thinks is also a wolf. "Hi, I'm Marlin Salvador, the second sibling of the alpha," the woman greeted her, and she smiled at her. She looked at Marlin, and she smiled back as well. She did not know why she was still smiling in front of the wolves. Her instinct tells her to do it. "My clothes fit in you," Marlin added. Now Emily's thought about the clothes she is wearing now was cleared. "Enough with the introduction," the alpha said seriously, so Emily straightened up as she sat down. "Don't be a killjoy brother. That's the reason why you didn't get her name until now," Marlin said and rolled her eyes at what her older brother had done. Marlin turned her attention back to Emily. "Ignore my brother. This is our youngest brother, Henry," Marlin introduces Henry to her. Henry just smiled at her and turned his attention back to the food in front of them. "This is George, our older brother and the alpha in this pack." After Marlin introduced the alpha Emily looked into Alpha's eyes, and she saw that it was also looking at her, so she immediately avoided his gaze. Suddenly silence engulfed the dining table and Marlin waited for Emily to speak but Emily's mind debated whether she would introduce herself or not. The argument of her mind was interrupted when the alpha asked him. "What's your name?" he asked, and his authority was evident in his voice. Emily was shocked and looked into the alpha's eyes. "E-Emily... Emily Solidad," she introduced herself and withdrew her gaze. She did not know why she was being pulled by the alpha stare, so she always averted his gaze. "What a beautiful name. Emily from now on you are welcome to our pack," Marlin said and smiled at her. She just nodded and suddenly her stomach rang indicating that she was hungry. The three looked at her, and she prayed that the earth would swallow her up to hide her shame. She did not know why she was ashamed, but the only thing on her mind was to escape from the hand of George Salvador, the alpha of the Salvador Pack. The three started eating while she was just staring at the front of the food. Her mind was debating whether she would eat or not. She doubts what kind of food it is, or maybe it is poisonous. Suddenly her stomach turned upside down when she remembered what had happened earlier in the alpha's room. She remembered the wolf's severed head. She thinks that the meat cooked on the table may also be from a wolf. Marlin suddenly made a fake cough, so Emily turned away. "This meat is pork and poultry meat. You can start to eat now Emily. Let your stomach be full for this night," Marlin's words were meaningful. Emily was suddenly startled by what Marlin said. Even though she was skeptical of the food she slowly put the piece of meat in her mouth and chewed it slowly. The sounds of her heartbeat are loud. And when she realized that it was really pork meat, she took it again. Marlin just giggled and was immediately scolded by the alpha, so she calmed down. Emily did not realize that the three were staring at her as she was busy eating. For six months she ate only apples, so she was very hungry for the taste of meat. She burped afterwards, so her cheek blushed with shame. "If I wasn't just hungry, I wouldn't be able to eat more. I have to take care of myself as I make the escape tomorrow night," in Emily's mind.
