I was just staring at our VC madam and Dean sir like a fool. How could this be possible? His parents are in the highest position of the university academic staff… Why the hell he didn’t even mention that before?
“We are so glad to have you here, Emma.” Madam VC took my hand in hers and said warmly.
I just grinned like a fool. I was still confused.
“I told you to tell her about us, Jeff. See this poor girl has got really surprised.” Then she complained, looking at Jeff.
“I wanted to surprise her!” Jeff replied, emphasizing the word, Surprise.
I gave a puzzled look to Jeff. Why did he want to surprise me? He could have just told me about his parents. Why he waited till his birthday to do so?
“Only his closest friends know about us, Emma.” Then Dean sir said.
