The Council Leader’s office is a vast and spacious room on the first floor, only a short walk from the meeting hall. It’s not like the cavernous, historic meeting room. It’s modern, almost glitzy, with silver and glass furniture and a white rug. All the accent pieces and artwork on the walls are various shades of red, and the walls are lined with fancy bookshelves, the ‘invisible’ type that make the books appear to be floating in midair.  “It’s nice,” I say.  My father laughs. “Council Leader Tyler caused a big stir when he redid the office. After all, the long standing wolf policy is to avoid silver.” I nod. It’s not because we are allergic, or it can kill us, or anything like that.
