Chapter Five Kim Medhurst Kim suppressed a smile as Smith and Taylor gave affirmative responses, albeit muted ones. They sounded like stroppy children being forced to apologise to each other and make up after a fight. It had clearly been a rough morning. Perhaps her inadvertent lie-in had been a good thing—yes, it meant she’d missed all the action, but if it had resulted in the men being miserable, then she was better off out of it.
