Curled up on my couch under a soft throw blanket, I let out a restless sigh. I know I freaked out a little after the self-defense lesson Owen took me to, but it was only because things were starting to feel too real between us. Too couple-y. I needed a little distance to clear my head and remember that he’s not my boyfriend. He’s a friend with benefits—one of my best friends—and the benefits are amazing. But that’s all.
