MATED TO TWO: A BULLY AND A GOODBOY

The sound of someone yelling woke me up, and I opened my eyes to find myself chained in a dungeon. The room smelled bad, like something had died in it, and it made me sick. My leg hurt a bit because the tiny arrows bruised it. As the voices got closer, I closed my eyes and pretended to be unconscious.

“Where is she?”

"I swear, if anything happens to her, I will put a stake in your hearts and hang your heads for the vultures to eat!" As Darren approached, I heard him growl.

My wolf howled inwardly as his scent filled my nostrils. I barely spoke to her because I despised her frailty and her tendency to make poor decisions. I hurt my mate because she could not control herself, and he did not like that I was locked up. He was nothing like Cameron, and all I could think about was the fact that Cameron was also my mate. The thought of it made me sick to my stomach, and it made me want to cry because this was worse than a death sentence.

"Release her immediately!" He gave the order, and I immediately heard the sound of the metal doors being unlocked.

When it opened, I felt him walk towards me, and he stood with his huge figure above me. After a while, he crouched beside me, then ran his hands over my cheeks, and I shook my head to show that I was still alive.

"Give me the keys!" he yelled, and I heard the sound of metals clanging together. I felt him close to me once more, and the cold metals on my hands and legs were gone in no time.

Then I was lifted off the ground, which made me feel strange in a good way. His hands wrapped around my body and radiated warmth, and I did not want him to let go.

“Sir, do you need help with that?” Daren immediately stopped moving when one of the guards asked.

"Are you implying that you want to get your filthy hands on my mate? I will slit your throat if any of you dare to touch her. She is mine!”

When he said this, my tummy fluttered, doing a thousand cartwheels at once. He carried me for a while until I could no longer breathe the suffocating air from the prison.

After a while, my body grazed against something soft, and I realized I was on a bed. When I opened my eyes to see Daren standing topless with his back to me, I almost choked on my spit and coughed loudly, causing him to turn around. I swallowed hard when I saw his well-sculpted abs and his pants that dangled dangerously low on his waist.

For some reason, I began to imagine what he looked like naked and how good it would feel to have him. I wished he would claim me as his mate right away because I did not want anything to do with Cameron, but those were just wishes. My life was about to be turned upside down as soon as the Alpha found out about this.

"You are awake, good," he said as he approached me. I sat up immediately, then groaned at the pain radiating from my leg.

"I am sorry," he said as he walked over to his table to get the bottle of water on it. He handed it to me, and I took it, trying hard not to look at him and his perfect face, which I designed with my claws.

"How do you feel in general?" He asked, and I shoved the bottle of water in my mouth to avoid speaking to him, but it did not work because my dry throat emptied the entire bottle.

He sat down next to me, but before he could say anything, I stood up and spoke.

"I am sorry..." Before I could finish, he smacked his lips against mine, claiming every inch of me and electrifying my entire body. The kiss was passionate but brief, and it left me wanting for more.

He gave me a soul-stealing look that hooked me, and I tried to reach for his face, but I quickly withdrew because I was scared.

"You have no reason to apologize because you were hurt, and it is understandable that you would respond in this manner. My brother can be a jerk at times, and I completely understand," he said, cupping my face with his hands.

His brother wasn’t just a jerk; he was my worst nightmare,but Daren had no clue because he had been away for a long time.

All he said fell on deaf ears because all I could think about was getting another taste of his lips, so I crept up to him with my eyes closed and pressed my lips against his. Things quickly heated up, allowing both of us to burn in pure lust. He pinned me down and kissed me from the nape of my neck to the base of my cleavage, then yanked off my shirt and left me in my bra.

He had his back to the bed with one twirl, and I was on top of him. I was about to complain about my weight when he interrupted me.

"F**k, you are beautiful!" he exclaimed. His touch made my breathing quicken and my heart race.

"Are we... going to have s*x?" I asked, staring into his eyes, my face flushing as I realized how stupid I sounded.

"No!" Cameron exclaimed.

I turned around as soon as I heard him speak and saw him leaning against the door with a smirk on his face. He gave off a short clap, mocking his brother for trying to sleep with me.

"When did you start caring about her?" Daren asked, sitting up as Cameron approached me. He scrutinized every part of my body, which made me uneasy, and this irritated Daren because he stood up all at once.

"I am not going to let you sexualize her. She is my mate!" Daren yelled, putting his hand between Cameron and me to keep him from getting any closer.

"Our mate, do not forget that, and from what I saw, you would have devoured her sexually if I had not interrupted," Cameron said, holding Daren's hand and smiling devilishly. I sat motionless, staring at Cameron, and all I could think about was punching him in the face.

This appeared to be a full-fledged war, so I chose to leave. Daren offered to take me home, and I hurriedly put on my shirt while they glared dangerously at each other. After that, Daren went to get his shirt, and Cameron grabbed my waist and kissed my cheek, making my stomach knot in disgust.

"See you around, mate," he said calmly as he walked away.

Daren drove me home and told me to ignore his brother.

"I promise to always be there for you, and I will never let anyone bully you again," he said as he pulled up in front of my house and kissed my cheeks.

"I will pick you up tomorrow morning," he said before driving away.

For the first time, I anticipated what the next day of school would bring.
