Rune looked on at the shocked expressions on his betas faces as he still held on to Leah. He was the only one keeping her from maiming Hera any further.
It was Hera's shaky voice that traveled around the living room this time. The first time she spoke since they got caught.
“She's telling the truth. She found Rune and I kissing.” Hera said and the betas let out surprised gasps.
“How could you let that happen?!” Knox exclaimed. “I warned you, Hera. I warned you, but you didn't listen!”
Rune’s eyes narrowed on Knox. He wanted to tell him to quit using that tone with Hera but Rune had to clamp his mouth shut. He couldn't offend Leah any further.
