His gaze captivates me, and I’m sure I keep catching glimpses of his wolf peeking through. Without my wolf, I shouldn’t be able to sense his, unless there's something more between us, something that is impossible to believe, that the moon goddess has paired us as fated mates. But if he were my mate, surely he would have told me by now? Plus there's no way his wolf would have allowed him to be so cruel to me so I keep pushing the thought away.
