POV: Alex
The night air was cool and crisp as Alex stepped out onto the balcony overlooking the pack's gathering. Lanterns hung from the trees, casting a warm glow over the clearing where pack members mingled, their laughter and conversations blending into a harmonious melody.
After the solemnity of the renewal ceremony earlier, the atmosphere now was one of celebration and camaraderie. Alex leaned against the balcony railing, watching Riley in the midst of the crowd, her smile radiant as she conversed with other pack members.
Mason appeared beside Alex, his presence reassuring. "They seem to be enjoying themselves," he remarked, his eyes following Alex's gaze to where Riley stood.
