The McKinnley estate glowed softly under the moonlit sky as Riley paced nervously in her room. Thoughts raced through her mind, each more turbulent than the last. The recent events—the prophecy, the revelations about her and Alex, and the looming threat of the Dark Council—weighed heavily on her.
