Kent forced himself not to smile, to show that he wouldn't tease her about it.
He knew what made Abby so furious instantly, even though she didn't show it.
"Did you tell anyone?" She asked, looking so worried about it.
Kent shook his head saying, "I didn't, not a soul, because I know it'll put you in a shameful position."
Abby sighed in relief, celebrating the little blessings. "Thank Goodness!"
"Thank you so much for that." She chuckled, nervously. "I was so worried, I didn't want people knowing that because it's really embarrassing. You've seen how he treated me, if people knew then I'd be so ashamed to even leave the house!" she said, out of her shame and pride as a woman and as an ex-wife.
