' What is your name? ' Asked Klaus.
' I have no name. You can call me anything you want and as long as your intention is to call me, I will know that I am being called. Ain't that crazy? '
' It sure is. But a default name would help us in addressing you and I also want to know one thing. '
' You can call me Old one, since I am old. And whatever doubts you have, just lay it out. '
' Can we save Solaris this time? '
' From humans or from the demons? '
' The imminent threat is from the demons, so will we be able to save our people? Not once in the history did our people win against the demons. '
' Time is the answer for everything, Klaus. We may win or we may not. We should give our best and wait for the outcome. Fate isn't in our hands, but the sequence of actions that control fate is in ours. Godly ways, huh. '
' Knowing about the past might help us in formulating a plan. I don't even know how much time we have. I got to mentally and probably physically prepare Ash for the upcoming events. I don't want to fail my father, my world, and the people in it. '
' I know one thing for sure, you will do whatever you can despite the consequences you'll have to face. Now, we'll just have to wait for Ash to gain consciousness, and then we can begin. It is important that he also knows about this too. '
Klaus and the old one kept conversing and totally forgot about Ash. The old one had many interesting things to share and Klaus was all ears to whatever he wanted to share. Klaus was gaining a lot of knowledge that he felt bad for again staying in Thunder for too long. Not that his kingdom has nothing to offer, but much more can be learned from travel. Exploring new cultures, ways, the experience of elderly and whatnot. He encouraged himself by thinking that there was still a lot of time for him to explore, once after he assists the Chosen One in his conquest. And as they were talking, Ash finally regained consciousness. Meanwhile, through another route Old one brought Alpha inside, so Klaus didn't have to worry about its safety every second.
Ash: How long have I been out?
Klaus: Tt's been two hours now.
Ash: Okay two hours is shorter duration and I am feeling a lot better now. So, shall we start?
Old one: Well then, let us begin.
The Old one stood up and walked outside the door and faced towards the east and began to utter these words.
Oh RA
You God of Life, you Lord of Love,
All men live when you shine.
You are the crowned King of the Gods.
The Goddess Aset embraces you
and enfolds you in all seasons.
Those who follow you sing to you with joy,
and they bow down their foreheads to the earth.
In gratitude for your radiant blessings.
Oh RA, You the King of Truth, the Lord of Eternity,
The Prince of Everlastingness,
You Sovereign of all Gods,
You God of Life, you Creator of Eternity,
You Maker of Heaven.
All the Gods rejoice at your rising.
Oh RA, You giver of all life,
The Earth rejoices when it sees your golden rays
People who have been long dead
come forward with cries of joy
to behold your beauties every day.
You go forth each day over Heaven and Earth.
Oh RA God of Life, you Lord of Love,
All men live when you shine.
Klaus and Ash patiently waited as the Old one prayed. He completed his prayer, came back to his place, and started to speak.
Old one: Before starting any significant work, I have a habit of praying to The Ra. Let us start now. So, in the beginning, there was no Solaris or there were no other worlds except for the earth. It is said that all the species were existing on earth. Humans, arcanas, animals, birds, vampires, demons, fairies, witches and warlocks, centaurs, dragons, shapeshifters, ghouls, griffins and the list goes on. The Gods thought that they would live together in peace and harmony. At the start, when the life forms didn't know what they were, they tried to live in isolation and also used to find species of their own. So instead of living together with others, they started to form groups on their own. Humans were the most intelligent creatures at the time because their brains started to quickly adapt to the conditions of the time. They created tools and things that made their life easier. They created ways of producing food without killing other species. It is not that they did not hunt, but comparatively, humans preyed less on other species. The evolution of humans was stable and linear, but other predators preyed on humans. Even though they were intelligent, they were not physically strong to compete with the stronger creatures, and also they didn't know that creatures with powers existed which overwhelmed them.
The conditions grew worse as time passed. It was the survival of the fittest. Vampires were ruthless, The fire-breathing dragons burned the areas recklessly, Aracanas, Witches, and Warlocks tried to protect themselves, but the humans were left with nothing. They were an easy target for everyone to feast upon. Their numbers plummeted. Gods became extremely concerned with the situation that they decided to do something to protect the smart and feeble humans. After a lot of discussion between the Gods, they decided to segregate species based on their survival and every God was given the freedom to select a world on which they would be worshipped. Now, the creation was not as easy as it sounds. There were so many rules and regulations. Now I do not know why we landed here or why there are demons here, but the Gods put us here and we are so fortunate that The Ra God chose our world and because of him, our planet was named Solaris, and ours is the only world with two suns.
Ash: We have a subject called social in which they teach us history. It teaches and informs us of the events that had happened on Earth since life first started. And nowhere had we come across events that included supernatural beings. How is this possible? There must be at least one incident or event that would prove their existence a long time ago.
Old one: Gods, no matter where they are worshipped will be remembered by all worlds, but it isn't the same for the species. They will be forgotten and it will be as if they have never existed.
Ash: If that is true, then when we were doing research, some people claimed that some people were removed from existence and put elsewhere and they also depicted some drawings which showed two suns. How can they know about this place then?
Old one: I have also heard about people who have visions about worlds they don't know existed. Now if you ask me why, then one of the simplest answers for it would be is, because of that group of people you knew about this place, even if you didn't know about it completely, I am sure that you must have seen it as a possibility. There is a famous saying. " God works in mysterious ways. " We might have so many questions with no answers like why were you chosen as The Chosen One? Where are other worlds? How do people have visions?
Ash: Makes sense. If we hadn't come across it during our research then it might have engulfed me if I find all about it here. Also I can definitely say that Chosen One cannot be random. Although, I don't know what's special about me.
Old one: If you still have doubts about you are The Chosen One. Come with me.
The Old one got up and Klaus and Ash followed him. He climbed above the treehouse and surprisingly there were more tree houses up there. After passing two other treehouses, the Old one finally stopped. He went inside and waited for others to catch up. When Klaus and Ash finally arrived, pointing to cloth the Old one started saying, ' There is a door behind this cloth which is magically enchanted and can only be opened by The Chosen One when he utters a few words. '
Saying this, the Old one then handed a scroll to Ash and asked him to read it aloud. Before that, a drop of blood of yours is required, he said and before Ash could answer, Old one pierced Ash's finger with a needle and asked him to touch the door. When Ash's blood came in contact with the wall, he could feel something magical happening as if magic was flowing through his veins not blood.
He opened the scroll and started chanting,
'THAIM THO.., uh'
' I don't know how to pronounce it. '
' It is not important to pronounce it rightly. What matters is how strong your intention is. Just think about what you want your incantation to do. A spell is just for helping you to focus, ' replied the old one.
Ash nodded and began to chant it again.
' THAIM THOLACH THECHEMBAOR THEAGON PENTATHESCHI BOTI,
CHEOZAPH OSSALA BYMBEL POUO TOUTHO OIREREI ARNOCH. '
Right after he said this, the place began to shake and there was a sound that usually occurs when two walls slide in opposite directions. The door slowly opened and inside they could see a small potion that contained a green-coloured liquid.
The Old one took the potion into his hands and said, ' before telling what this liquid does, let me tell you the meaning of the spell you just uttered. " I call on you who have power in the deep, for myself, that there may now be a way open for me. " And coming to this magical potion, it can help you get back to the place you came from. In order for it to work, you should first drink it and say a spell. It has enough liquid for two times. You can travel back and forth and that is it. One important thing is that you can only use it today. Afterward, it loses its magic. '
Ash: Why only today?
Old one: It stays intact as long as it stays inside those doors. Once it is removed, the countdown starts. The reason for the existence of this potion is that an individual gets marked as a Chosen One without their choice, so this provides them with an opportunity to back out from the responsibility given to them. The choice is yours, Ash. You can stay and help us survive or leave and let us perish.
Ash: Then why did you even made me open it, huh? I could have stayed a while longer and then might have left. Now you had left me with no option.
Old one: As I had already told, it is a choice that you must make and it has to be done now.
Ash still couldn't believe that he has such a huge responsibility on him. What can he possibly do to save them from demons? He can't even fight a human properly, and how can he save these people from a horde of demons. Also, he wanted to get back to his friends and family so badly that he decided to use the potion and get back. He believed that his absence won't make a difference to the future of Solaris. Their expectations of him would only disappoint them in the end. It is better to leave now rather than letting their hopes high.
Ash: Can you give me the spell that would help me get back?
Klaus: Just think about all the people, Ash. They will all die. An entire race would get wiped from the face of Solaris.
Ash: I trust in you, Klaus. You can help your people. You are stronger and braver than me in every possible way. If anyone could do this, it is you. These people don't need me, but my parents do. I have to go. I am sorry.
Klaus: But..
Old one: Enough, Klaus. If he made his decision, then we should agree to it. He should do whatever he wants, he should not be forced.
The Old one offered a scroll to Ash. Ash opens it only to discover it to be empty.
Ash: There is no spell here.
Old one: Just think of whatever you want the spell to do. Anything that you say would become the spell. The spell should be written by The Chosen One himself and since you are the first person to make it here, so it your task now. You get to create a spell.
Ash nodded and said, ' Get me to the planet that I desire. '
The scroll now displayed the words Ash uttered and surroundings started to change. Ash waved goodbye and disappeared.
