Chapter 20 saying sorry

SEAN'S POV

I sat in the car and watched as summer walked into spa with Skylar and Katy. The security guard stayed stood outside watching me but left me be sat in the car.

I got my phone out and googled flower shops. The 5 nearest shops I rang them all. I brought out all the flowers in stock of all the shops with the delivery's of flowers to arrive every 5 minutes between all shops until all the flowers where gone. They would be arrive within half hour for the first drop. All the notes on the flowers will say 'I'm sorry and I love you both please forgive me.'

I then rang the nearest mall to our location and spoke with the mall manager to have him get a bracelet and lush hamper basket delivered in 1 hours teddy all gift wrapped, Plus a build bear Teddy for Skylar that would also be delivered at the same time.

I then sat back and just waited.

SUMMERS POV

I had just finished explaining everything to Katy and Michelle when Skylar needed a feed. "Here let me" says Michelle.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Yes I'm sure plus Katy just had a cuddle, I want a cuddle with Skylar as well." Michelle says.

"Okay then go ahead." I say.

"The office phone rang and Katy answers it"

"Hello Katy speaking, how may I help?" Katy says. A few seconds later Katy looks at me. "Um Summer there's a delivery for you at front desk" Katy says.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Flowers apperently" Katy says shrugging her shoulders.

"Okay just have them put on the front desk, I don't want them it's clearly from Sean." I say.

Katy relays my message.

"There's a note saying he is sorry and loves you both apperently" Katy says.

"Just bin the note and have the flowers displayed." I say really not bothered about flowers at all.

"Michelle do you mind if I quickly use the ladies room?" I ask.

"No go ahead I'm fine with Skylar" Michelle says smiling.

"Thankyou I will be back in a minute." I say standing up to dash out to the bathroom before my bladder decided to explode.

When I get back from the bathroom Katy is on the phone again.

"Summer there is enougher bunch of flowers" Katy says

"What omg what is he doing! Just find somewhere else for the to be displayed" I say.

No sooner Katy puts the phone down and we get into a conversation about how crazy 2 bunch of flowers are the phone rings again.

"No don't says there's a third" I say.

Katy answers then starts laughing. "Where do you want em?" Katy says through laughter. "Oh tell who ever is on front desk to take them home with them" I say.

I check my mobile to see

I hope you like the flowers, I'm so sorry please forgive me and talk to me xxx

Sean

I will wait as long as it takes! I swear I don't think your a bad mum or would hurt Skylar. I was just worried you were running away from me that's all. I never thought you would hurt Skylar I know you wouldn't do that. Xxx

"Omg I've got 2 texts as well. He is turning into stalker mode today" I say.

"I can't believe he followed you all the way here" Michelle says.

"I'm disappointed he didn't collected whatever he brought in Costa so I could lose him." I say

The phone rings again and Katy answers

She looks at me while laughing.

"Summer what you want with these flowers" she ask.

"Give them to a different staff members" I say.

"Have you noticed it's every 5 minutes a bunch of flowers arrive surely he has to give up soon." Katy says.

"Yeah I noticed that" Michelle says.

"Well at this rate all members of staff will be getting flowers today" Katy says.

"Maybe we should go sit out at front desk the poor lady can't do her job if she is dealing with the flowers every 5 minutes" I say

"That's a good idea I will bring the chairs." Katy says

"I will grab Skylars pram and bag" I say.

"I will bring Skylar" says Michelle as she continues to wind Skylar while standing up to walk out the room.

When we reach the front desk there's already enougher bunch of flowers being dropped off. "Katy give them to a member of staff" I say.

"Okay." Katy says heading off to find a staff member

I set up camp at the front desk with Michelle and Katy. The next delivery had 2 people walking in. One with flowers. "Michelle you can have this bunch of flowers" I say passing them over.

"Thanks" Michelle laughs.

"I'm looking for a miss Ballard" says a bloke in a suit holding 2 boxes gift wrapped.

"That's me who are you?" I ask.

"Well I've come on behalf of Mr King my boss to deliver these to you in person." he says

"Is that so?" I say with a raised eyebrow.

"He says this one is for Skylar." he says.

"Okay thanks" I say taking the boxes.

"And there's this one also" he says pulling out a small gift wrapped box which I reckon is jewellery going from the shape of the box.

"Thanks" I say taking the box and placing it on the front desk.

"Have a good day miss" he says.

"Thanks you to, you should also tell your boss that I say you should be paid triple for your services" I say.

"I will inform him, bye" He says as he walks away.

"Katy go on I can see your interest in what the gifts are go ahead and open them" I say.

"Oh wow look at this hamper it's full of lush products" Katy says sounding like an excited child opening Christmas presents.

"I'm keeping them" I say laughing.

"I knew that was coming" Michelle says as she also laughed.

"So true you love lush" Katy says opening the next box.

"I know, I could shop there every daily easily" I say.

"Aww look at this cute Teddy" Michelle says as Katy pulls out a pink fairy Teddy bear from build a bear.

"That's Skylars gift so I can't give that away after all Sean is still her dad" I say placing the Teddy on the pram.

"Oh look more flowers Katy you can have this bunch" I say.

"Thanks Katy" says laughing.

"That's alright." I say.

"I've got a client to go see to I will be back in a hour" Michelle says standing up.

"Okay enjoy" I say.

"I doubt it will be as exciting as all these deliveries" Michelle laughs as she heads off.

"Don't worry I can give you updates" Katy says laughing.

I quickly check my phone again

Sean

I hope you like the presents once again I'm sorry xxx

"Oh look at this bracelet" Katy says opening the last present.

"I will give it to Lisa" I say putting it into the nappy changing bag.

"You should keep it" Katy says.

I quickly type out my reply

Stop sending deliveries

A reply comes very fast

Sean

Then come out and talk to me please I beg you to forgive me.

I decided to ignore him.

4 hours later and the flowers are still coming. All staff members have 2 bunches of flowers each and I've started giving them away to the customer's as well. There's a few places around the spa with flowers on display also.

Sean is still sat outside and has refused to move so the security guard has said.

I decided enough was enough and I headed out to speak with Sean. I'd just finished feeding Skylar so I knew she would be okay sleep while I dealt with Sean.

As I walk out with Skylar Sean gets out of his car. I tell the security guard he can go inside.

"Summer please talk to me" Sean says with a pleading tone.

I see vans and cars full ready to do flower deliveries.

"Not until you have any remaining flowers you brought sent to nursing homes or elderly people who live alone" I say.

"Okay I will sort that only if you talk to me" Sean says.

"I will you sort the flowers while I sort Skylar into the car seat" I say.

SEAN'S POV

I'd waited hours but I knew Summer had to leave at some point. So I stayed!

When Summer walked out with Skylar I was shocked she stood down her security guard.

I quickly went and told all the people doing the flower deliveries the instructions Summer gave, before running back to Summer. I see summer had already put Skylar into the car seat in the car and had just collapsed the pushchair.

"Here let me put it in the boot" I say taking the pushchair before Summer could argue.

Summer just went to sit in her car. I followed her lead as soon as I had placed the pushchair into the boot and closing the boot door, I then quickly got into the passenger seat.

"Thankyou" I say looking at summer, I can tell she is still pissed off with me big time. Her cute little eyes hold anger in them while she holds a stern looking face. Her frown just adds to the angered face as she looks at me.

"Please forgive me, I swear I didn't see the note and just freaked out after I upset you last night." I say.

"More like you didn't trust me or have faith in me with Skylar" she snaps.

"No, I know you wouldn't hurt her! Your a good mum Summer you need to stop thinking otherwise. I was more scared you were running away from me and I lost you both! Not that you would harm Skylar so you can stop that thinking right now." I say.

"Why I'm saying what everyone thinks" she says while pointing at me.

"No! Your saying what you think! You have every right to be upset but your thinking it all wrong I swear everyone trusts you with Skylar." I say.

"If that's the case why have you camped out here the past few hours?" She demands crossing her arms without breaking eye contact.

"So that I can beg you for forgiveness! If I truely thought Skylar wasn't safe with you I'd of stormed in and taken Skylar but I didn't did I??" I say

Summer thinks over what I said I can see she is torn in her thinking.

"It's true I didn't storm in and take Skylar I'd only take her away if I thought you were a danger to her and your not. But I know I upset you badly and you took it all the wrong way, so I stayed so that I could beg for your forgiveness once again, I'm truely sorry. I honestly didn't see the note." I say

"No you didn't see it because you straight away jumped to conclusions" Summer says.

"You didn't answer your phone! I tried to contact you and you ignored me like you did when you left me it just reminded me of that so I freaked out! I know I got it wrong this time but it was a genuine mistake. So I didn't go out my way to hurt you in anyway, you have to believe me please Summer I swear it was a honest mix up." I say

"My phone was on silent so Skylar wouldn't get woken up and I was to busy looking after her while shopping to even think to check my phone. Isn't that what a good mum does? choose there child over anything else?" She says glaring at me.

"Yes, see you say it your self it what's a good mum does because that's excaulty what you are! I believe that everyone else believes that so you should believe in yourself also. But please see it from my point of view last time I upset you, you hopped on a plane and didn't answer my calls or anything, you just disappeared. When I generally didn't see the note and couldn't get through to you on the phone after I upset you last night, I swear I was just worried you were running away from me again. I don't want to cause you to run away from me ever again no matter the reason which is why I've camped out here all day waiting and trying to show you how sorry I am with all the flowers and the gifts! Please forgive me." I say

"Fine, I can see your point of view but I'm still angry at you. I told you, I came back to allow you to be a father! I haven't done anything to stop you being a father and I wouldn't take Skylar away unless you did something to her. Any petty arguements between us isn't going to have me taking Skylar away from you. You know I believe a child deserves both parents in there life so you should of believed in what I said! You should of had trusted me after all I never did anything in my life to not have you trust me, it was you who broke the trust and what we had before!" She says seething with anger still.

"Your right you haven't done anything to cause me not to trust you, the more I worry about upsetting you the more I seem to be screwing up without realising it! I feel like I'm walking on egg shells trying to get it all right but still mess up, I am sorry." I say

"It's not going to be easy Sean, even couples together clash over parenting ways, we have to try and learn to co-parent. But you need to trust that I'm not a b***h who will run away with Skylar!" Summer says.

"Okay well how let's make a deal, I trust you won't run off if you start believing your a good mum, stop putting yourself down and believe that everyone doesn't think that of you. What do you say?" I say.

"I can't promise that I don't control how I feel like a light switch, but I can try and that the best I can do" Summer says.

"Okay shake on it then that your try and I will trust you not run off" I say smiling.

"Fine" Summer huffs handing out her hand to me to shake.

I take her hand in mine and shake it gently but Summer turns it into an aggressive handshake while saying "deal."

I can't help but laugh to myself in my head, but I keep a straight face saying "deal." Summer goes to take her hand back, but instead I take her hand in both of mine.

"Summer I also promise I will try harder to not upset you anymore, weather you believe it or not I generally don't want to see you upset ever. I just want to see you both happy." I say.

"Okay well, I want to head back now I should talk with my parents" Summer says.

"Can I follow to spend some time with Skylar?" I ask

"Okay" summer says taking back her hand

"Thanks" I say jumping out the car and heading towards my own car.
