Chapter 18 who needs pj's

SUMMERS POV

When we got back my mum made us drinks.

"Summer me and your dad have been invited to stay over at our friends house tonight so we can catch up, we will be going but can come back if you need our help?" my mum says.

"It's okay mum, you and dad go have fun and we will be fine" I say.

"Are you sure?" She asks nervous.

"Yes mum, plus I can't shift Sean here so I'm sure we will be okay." I say.

"I will make sure Summer and Skylar are both fine" Sean says.

"See we will be fine go have fun" I say.

"Okay love well ring me if you need me for any reason and I will come straight back" she says.

"Okay go get ready and have fun I promise to ring if I need anything." I say.

SEAN'S POV

Summer fell asleep before her cup of tea even cooled down. I quickly went got the quilt cover so I could cover Summer with it. I gently placed a kiss on her forehead. She looks so peaceful a sleep I couldn't help but smile. Then Skylar started to stir so I quickly picked her up taking her upstairs for her next feed.

When I was winding Skylar Kenny walked into the bedroom.

"Sean me and Sandy will be leaving now make sure you look after them both" Kenny says.

"Sure, but Kenny I should tell you Summer got upset while out today." I say.

"What happened?" he asks.

I quickly explain everything that happened.

"Well, I'm glad you fired that women on the spot, but try not to take it to heart if anything it says Summer was upset and maybe a little jealous that you had an admire. Give Summer time I reckon she will forgive you soon. I can see your trying but be more careful with who you speak to stand your ground that your not interested don't entertain women who want to flirt with you " Kenny says.

"Okay I will take what you said on board, I just wanted to let you know about today incase Summer gets upset or anything over the weekend over it." I say.

"Okay well have a good evening and don't worry we are all here for Summer, if you need us just ring we can be back within half hour" Kenny says.

"Okay have a good evening" I say

"You to" he says walking away.

When Skylar was asleep I put her in the crib and decided to catch some sleep myself as I was tired as well.

I woke up when I felt someone climb onto the bed. I opened my eyes to see Summer getting into the bed wrapped around a quilt.

"I woke up needing the bathroom. I see you and Skylar in here asleep go back to sleep that's what I plan to do" Summer says while handing me some of the quilt.

I wrap a arm around Summers waist snuggling closer to her. I quickly kiss Summers forehead. "Okay go back to sleep" I say.

To my surprise Summer cuddles closer to me so I slightly tighten my hold on Summer.

"Don't go getting any ideas I simply need a hug" Summer says.

"I wasn't getting any ideas just happy for a cuddle back. Us men like cuddles to you know." I say

"I know that" Summer says as she yawns and I barely made out her response.

Then we just stayed blissfully quite enjoying being cuddled up. I didn't need to read anything into it like Summer said I already knew this was a break through one tiny step back to gaining Summer trust and love back.

We both fell asleep pretty quickly.

We both woke to hear Skylar crying I quickly kissed Summers cheek.

"You get Skylar I will grab the bottle" I say.

"Hmm okay what's the time?" Summer asks.

"4:10pm" I say dashing out the door to get Skylar bottle.

I quickly sorted the bottle and took it back to summer.

"Are you hungry? I've put the kettle on to make us drinks and im about to quickly sort the bottles for the steriliser" I quickly say.

"Yes, and double thankyou" summer replys.

"Okay what would you like for dinner?" I ask

"I don't mind, I can always sort dinner after I've fed Skylar since your doing the bottles" Summer says.

"You don't have to I can do dinner" I say before dashing out the room so Summer can't argue back with me.

"I know your game I shall win, I can sort dinner" summer shouts out in a warning tone.

"So can I," I shout back laughing.

I quickly went and made the drinks. I then sorted the bottles once they were cleaned and put them in the steriliser, I took mine and Summers drinks upstairs.

As I walked in Summer just smiled in a suspicious way.

"Here's your drink" I say putting it on the bedside table.

"Thanks could you pass me that tiny control please?" Summer asks.

"okay" I say before passing it over.

"Thanks" Summer says

"Okay what you want for dinner?" I ask.

"Just sit down and enjoy your drink first" summer says before pressing a button on the control.

Then I see the bottom of the bed start to move a TV is coming out the head rest.

"Wow i didn't realise this was one of them beds" I say taking a seat back on the bed.

"I figured any restless nights with Skylar it may come in handy" Summer replys.

"Good thinking" I say as Summer turns the TV on.

I sit and drink my drink while Summer is finding something to watch on Netflix but the door bell goes.

Who is that I wonder as I stand up

"That will be dinner" Summer says passing me Skylar.

"Oh looks like you won that debate" I say laughing as I take Skylar.

Summer comes back holding subway bags

"I got your favourite blt with mayo" Summer says handing it to me.

"Thanks, I'm surpised you still remember my favourite." I say.

"Well ive known you longer than we have been separated so of course I'd remember" Summer says.

"True, but I'd of happily made dinner for us." I say.

"I know, but I figured might as well have a chilled evening" Summer says putting on yes day to watch.

I lay Skylar between us propped up on a pillow since she is still awake while I eat my food.

"I think Skylar likes the TV she seems to be focused on it." I say.

"I think your right" Summer says smiling.

By the time we finish our food Skylar has fallen asleep, I lay down to watch Skylar while stealing glances at Summer also.

SUMMER POV

I found the film hilerous how the parents were giving the kids a whole day of saying just yes, I kept looking down at Skylar but noticed that Sean had fallen asleep looking at her so I decided to move Skylar into her crib. As soon as I went to move Skylar Sean opened his eyes.

"Hey, I thought you were asleep" I said

"No, I was just resting my eyes" Sean says stretching.

"Okay well the film just finished it was really good. I'm so doing yes day with Skylar as she grows up looks like so much fun." I say.

"That could be interesting for sure" Sean says smiling.

"Okay well I'm just putting Skylar into her crib then going for a shower feel free to find something to watch." I say

I put Skylar into the crib then quickly grab some clothes and go for my shower.

When I got out the shower I quickly got dried and then went to put my clothes on to discover I must have dropped my top. Looks like I'm wearing the towel out, I think to myself as I put the bra and knickers on with the pj shorts. Then I wrap the tower around my body and notice it looks like I'm not wearing anything underneath except maybe a bra because of the straps. I hope Sean doesn't think anything of this. Usually when we where together I'd tease the hell out of Sean whenever I got out the bath. Now I'm kicking myself as I think how I've lost my pj top.

When Sean notices me step back into the bedroom he soons sits up wide eyed.

"I lost my pj top" I say quickly.

Sean just laughs.

"What's funny?" I ask.

"I know, I see it on the floor I was waiting for you to call me for help" he suddenly says waving my pj top in the air.

"Then why didn't you warn me?" I ask

"Because you was already in the shower and I thought you would call for assistance in finding it" he says with a big smile on his face.

"Well hand it over then." I say

"Okay" Sean says then he stands up walks over to me and places it over my head.

"I can get dressed myself you know." I say

"I know but I think this is much more amusing" he says chuckling followed by "come on arms in."

"Your not funny" I say raising one arm while using the other to cling to the towel.

"Oh but I am next arm" he says.

"You better get ready for pay back" I say.

I quickly get my other arm through then turn around to remove the towel and pull down the pj top at the same time

Sean just laughs.

"Would you like a shower?" I ask.

"Okay" Sean says going to grab his clothes.

"Okay I will grab you a towel" I say.

When I go into the bathroom I see Sean is brushing his teeth I quickly take his boxers and pj bottoms covering the towel over the pj top. "I've put the towel on your clothes" I say walking out.

"Okay thanks" Sean says.

Then I sit and wait for the fun to commence. Thinks he is funny, I will show him funny I think to myself while mentally laughing. 20 minutes later I hear the shower turn off and I wait while laughing quietly.

"Think your so funny don't you" Sean shouts out while laughing.

"I have no idea what your on about" I say hiding the clothes under my pillow.

"Sure you don't but two can play your game" Seans says walking into the bedroom stark naked not even his pj top is on.

"Ahh," I screech pulling the quilt over my eyes

"Oh come on Summer you seen it all 1000s of times before can't go shy now" Sean says laughing while sitting on the bed yanking the quilt away. Before pulling me into his arms.

"3 seconds to tell me where my clothes are" Seans say.

"1" Sean says looking at me while smiling

"2" Sean says while I just shrug me shoulder trying not to laugh

"I don't know" I say as he opens his mouth to say the next number.

"3 "

Then he starts his tickle assault on me

"Okay! okay! stop" I say laughing

"Only if you give me my clothes" he says.

"What clothes, I don't have them see my hands are empty" I say laughing.

"You know what clothes" Sean says laughing while tickling my sides again.

"Okay, okay I surrender" I say laughing while trying to escape from Sean.

"Okay so where are they?" He asks smiling at me.

"Here under the pillow but all you had to do was ask for assistance" I say smirking at him.

"Hmm I didn't need assistance I figured you wanted to see me nude again so obeyed your wishes" he says chuckling while putting on his boxers.

"Nope that wasn't the plan" I say.

"Of course it wasn't" he mocks while putting his pj bottoms on.

"You know" I go to say but stop as I hear a phone ring.

RING RING RING RI

Sean answers his phone

"Hey logan" I hear Sean say. I decided to find something else to watch on TV when Sean and logan start yapping, they talk more than mothers at a mother's meeting. I decided on watching dirty dancing. Half way through the film, Skylar woke up so I took her downstairs to feed her as Sean was still on the phone with logan. But as I picked Skylar up Sean said he would grab the bottle. So I opted for trying to settle Skylar who was inpatient for her bottle this time getting upset crying while we waited for Sean to come back. Once Sean came back I quickly fed Skylar her bottle while watching the film. While winding Skylar I could feel my eyes wanting to shut I felt so tired Sean was still chatting away on the phone. I fought through to stay awake until Skylar was fully wind free and asleep again. I laid Skylar back into the next to me crib and laid down to go to sleep.

As I was just drifting off to sleep Sean decided he wanted to talk.

"Hey Summer do you have plans tomorrow? Logan and shan want to meet Skylar." He said.

"What the hell is wrong with you! You been on the phone for ages! Had ages to ask me instead you chat through half my film then through me seeing to Skylar then getting her to sleep! And the damn second I go to fall asleep after I struggled to stay awake to wind Skylar you have to wake me up with this question now?" I say annoyed

"Sorry, so is Sunday okay?" He asks.

"I don't know what's going on yet." I say through gritted teeth.

"So shall I say yes or no?" He asks.

"How the hell do you own so many company's?" I say standing up. I pick Skylar up and head for the door.

"Where are you going Summer?" Sean asks

I ignore him. And head for the nursery I place Skylar into the mosebasket then head for the spare room with Skylar in the mosesbasket making sure to lock the door after I enter.

I place Skylar near the bed on the floor then climb into the bed for some sleep.

The next night feed I took Skylar downstairs with me.

"Okay princess mummy is still tired so we shall camp in the front room what do you say? Hmm I know you don't mind so long as you get a full tummy but don't worry I can sort that" I say yawning sitting down to feed Skylar. "Hmm your tired to aye?" I say to Skylar as she falls asleep as she nearly finishes her bottle. "We can't sleep yet we need some wind lil lady. Okay give up the wind" I say starting to patt Skylar back. 20 minutes later I put Skylar into the mosebasket in the front room, then grab the blanket and go to sleep in the chair. The rest of the night feeds went like this, I actually enjoyed just having quite moments with just me and my lil princess. I could just enjoy being a mum for a few moments when we were both awake. I couldn't help but smile with pride looking at Skylar at 6:30am. By 7:30am we were both ready for the day and we had run out of milk so I headed to Costa then shopping with Skylar. I pinned a note to the fridge. 'No milk gone to get some.' it said so no would would worry about us.
