Abraham asked …"O Angel of Death!
What do you do if one man dies in the east
And another in the west?
Or if a land is stricken by the plague?
Or if two armies meet in the field?"

The angel said: "O Messenger of God!
The names of these people
Are inscribed on the lawh al-mahfuz:
It is the 'Preserved Tablet'
On which all human destinies are engraved.
I gaze at it incessantly.”
