“That is very clever of you, Hubert, and exactly what I know is right for you to do.”
“What are you going to do?” Hubert quizzed her.
“I too am going to disappear,” Julia told him. “I have had enough of being ordered around when I least expect it. While you are going round the world I have been thinking that I might go to Scotland where some of my mother’s relatives live. They might be pleased to meet me and let me stay with them for a short while.”
“That sounds sensible,” Hubert commented.
“The trouble is actually getting to Scotland,” Julia sighed, almost as if she was talking to herself.
“I can tell you how to do it!” Hubert exclaimed.
“How?” Julia asked him.
