Finding My Way Back

Chapter 8

Garrett 

Earendil: Get on your computer. The King and Queen wants information on the situation now. You shouldn’t have silenced your phone. 

Me: I’m sorry but I’ll explain on the call. Give me 10 minutes I have to setup the special tech to be able to connect to you all with no one knowing. 

Earendil: I will tell the King and Queen to be ready. I will have them all log into the chat room. 

Me: Oh, ok thank you. 

I put my phone back in my pocket, checked my look in the mirror and brushed my hair with my hand trying to make myself presentable for the king and the queen. I grab my laptop out of my backpack and set it on the bar. I go back into my room and into the back of the closet and pull out a box from a moving box I shoved into the back of the closet, which is a huge closet. I head back out into the living room/kitchen area and sit on the bar stool, I took out a smaller box out of the small chest box, put my finger on the lock and pull out this small device that we use to keep people from being able to hear or be able to log into the chatroom we setup to use between us and the Earthtarians deep in the sea. I put the device into the usb port and turn on the computer. While the computer starts up, I go to the windows and balcony door to make sure they are locked and the listening deceives are still enabled. I close the curtains, not that anyone can look in but just to make sure. Every apartment I have been in I have made sure that no Creatures could sense me or spy on me without knowing. I walked back to my laptop and sit back down. I log into the chatroom and the video feed of everyone that’s in the chatroom lifts off the screen and goes up above the laptop.  

Waiting to be addressed I noticed that everyone was there, by everyone I mean Earendil, King, Queen, the princess, and all the princes. I mean they all love each other and have been worried about finding all their family alive and well. The King notices I had enter the room and greets me. 

“Greetings Iston, Earendil has told us you found Galadriel and that there is more that you need to tell us.” 

“Greetings your Majesties, Greeting Earendil, I hope everyone is well.” I say in greetings then continue, “Earendil is correct your Majesty, I have found Galadriel, tho she goes by Aria now. I also found Nessa, Alael and maybe even Arendhel.”  

Everyone gasps and start talking at once. The King calls for everyone to be quiet and let me explain. 

“Well, I met Galadriel during my first class today. She invited me to lunch with her friends. My wolf could smell Alael, but when I looked at him, I hadn’t ever seen him before, but I could smell he was a reborn Earthtarian. Her friend which is Nessa didn’t have a reborn smell on her at all, but she had the eyes of a royal reborn Earthtarian. They have a 3-year-old daughter they had when they were just out of high school.” I said, but bracing myself for the next part I continued. “Galadriel also has a three-year-old daughter, before anyone asks, no she isn’t with any human. Nessa and Alael explained that during a bonfire that the local graduating class was having in the middle of nowhere and when the cops came to break up the part, the big shot football star grabbed Galadriel and took her against her will. She had that medicine the humans use to prevent an unplanned pregnancy but it seems it didn’t work and she got her daughter Avia.” I grumbled when I talked about the football star getting off scott free with what he did, tho he doesn’t remember it. 

Everyone was looking at me like I grew a head or something. The Queen recovered first and said, “What all did you tell Nessa and Alael?” 

“Not much, Alael told me that was the night he first turned into a wolf. He had gone after the guy that had done what he did. He also told me the guy was possed by a black cloud. I told him what it was and why he turns into a wolf. I didn’t want to explain the whole history without telling Galadriel as well. It’s a long story to tell.” I responded to the Queen. 

“Yes, it is.” agreed the Queen. 

I continued, “I also told Nessa and Alael that I am not sure what all you wanted me to tell them, so I would tell them what I could on Friday as they invited me to dinner and Galadriel and her daughter to a slumber party at their house. The girls are also best friends according to their moms.” 

The King and Queen looked at each other like they were talking to each other without anyone hearing.  

Estel speaks, “How do my sisters look? Are they well now? Do they still act like goofballs like they use to? Please tell me about them.” 

Estel was pretty close with her sisters and was very heart broken when Nessa had died and Galadriel. Of course, she would want to know whatever she could about them. I look to her and say, “As far as I can tell they are both well. Galadriel wears baggy clothes and has I don’t want to bring attention to myself aura. Nessa has the very protective friend feel to her and is good with coming up with plans she knows will get Galadriel to go with her. They still have the in-sync thing going for them even tho they are only friends. I only got to spend a few hours with them. Nessa took right to 21 questions with me after Galadriel introduced me. Galadriel doesn’t like having people do things for her, she is very independent about that. Nessa explained that trait only came after she was traumatized that night.” 

When I had finished everyone had smiles on their faces, probably remembering the mischief those two would get into. After a few minutes the King speaks. 

“Iston, The Queen and I talked and we want you to only tell them about the history, the war and what reborn Earthtarians are. We feel that any more than that might over whelm them and make them not want to be a part of use. Was the attack on Galadriel a random Creature attack or was it them attacking her cause of who she is?”  

“I believe it was a random Creature attack, when Alael was fighting him, the Creature only mentioned him and that he would be back with more friends, but he says that no one has been stalking him or any other danger. Maybe we ended up killing that Creature and he never got to tell them about it, or maybe they are gathering forces. Who knows it's been four years.” I said. 

The King nods his head and says, “For now I think you are enough of protection for them, but if you start seeing anytime that looks like Creature activity then you need to contact us immediately. Get to know them for now as all this can be hard to get use to if you were not born in it like you.” 

“Yes, your Majesty.” I bowed my head. 

With that the King and Queen log out. Before Estel logs out she tells me to keep them updated and maybe even send pictures if I can do it without them being suspicious of him. I told her I would and then she and her brothers all log out. I’m left staring at only Earendil. “I’m sorry Earendil that they are not suggesting you come here as well.” I say to him sadly. 

“It's alright, at least we found her and she is safe. It will be weird to be a daddy at the get go but I think we are both up to the challenge, don’t you agree?” He says with a smile. 

“Yeah, it's going to be super weird. At least we have a child, how long have we wished we have had a child with her.” I responded. 

He looks at his phone and then back at me and says, “The Queen just texted me and told me that I should probably tell Gaelan about Nessa and Alael and that their daughter is possibly Aredhel and that we need to start to get their suites stated. When do you see Galadriel again?” 

“I have classes with her Mondays and Wednesdays, so I’ll see her on Wednesday.” I said. 

“Let me know everything that happens oh ok?” He pleated a little. 

“Sure thing. See you later Earendil.” 

“See you later Iston.” 

I shut off my laptop, unplugged the device and put it back in its sealed box and took it back to the moving box I had it in. When I returned to my bedroom and landed on the bed and groaned. Wednesday couldn’t get here soon enough.
