Was he asleep yet?
Alice had finished her shower and stared at the door that divided them. If he was still awake, she might have to deal with the entire issue she'd left.
The last thing she wanted to do was confront him. But at least she didn't smell like she'd rutted all day. The whole shower thing was so very strange compared to just running around in a lake or river. And yet she felt so clean, so fresh.
This time she let the magic form a long sweeping blue gown around her body with long slits so she could move. Alice was well aware that if she was attacked, she needed to be able to move and fight.
She bit her lip again as she stared at the door. If he was awake, this was going to be hell. If he was asleep, she'd just go for a run.
No more waiting.
Alice opened the door.
Soft snores rumbled from her bed. Justa's face was pushed against the pillow and his mouth was open as he snored. The covers were held tight to his chest like some sort of sleeping toy.
There were no arousal visuals from him, just a deep sleep. Alice let her shoulders relax and fall as she moved through the room.
Good. At least humans didn't have a strong nose. She paused to smile down at him before she slipped down the tunnels.
"Alpha," Mark greeted as he continued to stay in the spot on the wall where she had pressed him.
Alice gestured and her 2nd jumped to the ground, flexing his muscles and kneeling to the ground with his forehead pressed against the dirt.
"I'm sorry, if I ever went through with the things my wolf wanted, I would kill myself. I apologize for not having better control."
"You're going to have to learn better control. True, the wolves were allowed to be as wild as they liked while Jared was in charge, but my pack will not be like that. You're going to be the one in charge of training them."
"What?" Mark looked up as he frowned. "Alpha, I'll do anything you say. But, that is just-"
Alice held up a hand and the man returned his forehead to the ground. "It will be difficult, but it is important you understand how close I was to ripping you apart. Only our previous history stopped me. You want me to forgive you? Do this."
"As you wish," Mark growled out.
"Mark," Alice called before the wolf got up.
He turned his neck and stared at her as his dark hair pooled over his shoulder. If she liked wolves, maybe he would have been the type she would have went for. Mark was one of the best specimens of the pack.
But her Justa was better. It didn't matter that he was a human. It didn't matter that he wasn't her mate. He was the one that she dreamed about, that her wolf wanted with a force she'd never experienced before.
"What is it?" She demanded.
"I'm not sure what's going on between you and that human, but be careful. The pack will turn on him if you're ever not at his side."
Alice's eyes narrowed. "He told me that a wolf stopped him and told him that much. Who was it?"
"Let me handle it, I will teach her the place she has in this pack. It's not something you need to worry about." He frowned as he glanced up at her. "I won't say I approve of mating with a human, but I will never go against you again. If it's what you wish, I'll defend your right to do it. You have all my loyalty."
Alice smiled as her shoulders relaxed. "Thank you, Mark. I really appreciate that. You have been the most loyal member to me. With your help, this pack will never fall into the cesspool it was with Jared."
Mark's lip curled. "That's someone I'd like to tear apart myself one day. He's not the type of wolf that should ever have been allowed to stay here after what he did in the past. I don't agree with letting him stay here."
Alice sighed. "I know, but it's the last thing my mother asked of me. No matter what it costs, I'll follow her last wish."
From inside the house, she caught the creak of a spring. Was Justa awake?
"I'll leave you be, I will see you tomorrow, Alpha."
Alice nodded but didn't answer. Her attention was once more pulled away. She was embarrassed, humiliated, but still, she wanted to be the first thing that Justa saw when he woke up.
She slipped back into the house and into the bedroom.
Odd.
The bed was empty.
The blankets were thrown to the side, the pillow off the bed, but no Justa.
Alice scanned the room as she sniffed. It took but a moment for her to realize using her nose in that kind of fashion would not work without help. She used a little wind magic so she could focus.
Justa's scent was still permeating everything. She closed her eyes as she inhaled it and leaned up against the hard wall.
Two thumps on either side of her head caught her attention and Alice jerked to attention with a growl in her throat. A growl that was soon drowned out as strong hard lips pushed against her own.
She prepared to fight but she froze.
This had to be a dream.
No way.
There was no way that Justa was kissing her!
The human pressed against her, the hardness of his body telling her all she needed to know about his fitness. He could take on any Alpha she knew with a body like this. And right now it was focused just on her.
His eyes were like twin fires comprised of ice as they stared into her very soul. He slid one hand up her jaw and guided her chin down as his tongue invaded.
Just like the rest of him it too was a dominating force. She growled deep in her throat.
No.
This was not how it was supposed to be.
She kissed him back pushing herself against his body and wriggling out of his hold. She snagged his lower lip between her teeth and bit on it just to the point of breaking it as she shoved him away from her and onto the bed.
They both fell, but Alice retained her position on top. Grabbing his shirt with her hands and letting her claws slide out just the barest bit she tore the item to shreds and tossed it to the ground.
Considering that Justa never stopped kissing her during all this told her everything she needed to know. She reached for his chest, rubbing her palms against what she had wanted to touch so much before.
A quick glance in his eyes told her all she needed to know about how he felt about this entire thing. He wasn't fighting her, he was wanting this too. Was it the heat scent she'd left? Had it worked?
She didn't even care. All she wanted right now was him. She pulled away from his kiss and he grabbed her on either side of her head and forced her back down for a kiss, biting her lips now.
Alice squeezed him with her thighs and Justa groaned beneath her, enough to release his hold. She grabbed his hands away from her and pinned them above his head.
Justa chuckled low and deep as he stared up at her, his eyes once again a dark storm. "What's the matter?" he demanded.
Alice replied by leaning down and biting his shoulder, soft at first, and then harder.
He was delicious.
He didn't squirm or move away from the roughness.
Instead, he did something quite different that made Alice freeze.
Justa groaned and ground against her. His d**k had swollen to a size she hadn't prepared for and it rubbed against her in just the right way.
Alice laughed as she pulled away with a lick as she stared down at him. "You like that?" she demanded as she licked her lips.
Oops, maybe she'd bitten a little too hard. Drops of his blood coated her mouth and she moaned as that passionflower flavor invaded her every pore.
"It's what you want, right?" Justa challenged.
Alice paused as she panted up above him. She was ready to rip all of his clothes off and f**k him then and there.
Her wolf demanded it and his body pulsed against her as his erection struggled to free itself.
"You're the one that kissed me first," she growled at him as she moved her hips so she rubbed down his length. "You're the one that started this, and unless you stop me or demand I do, I'm getting my satisfaction from you. I don't care if you reach that goal or not."
Justa threw his head back and laughed. He wrenched his arms free from her and grabbed her ass, tearing the dress off her body as he did so. "No, I think you deserve a good hard f**k, Alice, and I hope you're prepared because I'm not stopping early."
