JACK SITS ON his bed silently. The guilt was still eating him up and all he wanted to do was apologise to the youngest Winchester that managed to catch his eye.
His train of thought soon git interrupted when a knock echoed throughout the room.
"Who is it?", he called.
"Hey it's me. Uh, Sam.", Sam's muffled voice could be heard from behind the door. Jack stood up as he opens the door slowly carrying a laptop.
"Hey. Just checking in. You haven't come out since we set you up. That's fine, I mean it's all been... pretty insane I'm sure. But, um... Anyway, I brought you something. Please, have a seat.", Sam says as soon as he enters the room.
Jack sits on the bed and listened to Sam. "Before you were born, your mom left you a message. I know you have a bunch of questions and hopefully this is the start.", he hands over the laptop and a pendrive to Jack—who in return, stares at the pendrive in confusion.
Sam chuckled. "Right, yeah. Here I'll um... There you go. Just push this button, right here, whenever you're ready.", Sam plugs in the pendrive and moves to leave.
Jack looks up at him with a small smile. "Thank you."
Sam nods at him in response before going over to walk out the door.
" Wait.", Jack says, making Sam turn around.
" What is it?"
Jack fumbles with his next words. " I need to—Can you tell Zen that I'm sorry?"
Sam furrows his brows. " Sorry? For what?"
Jack stutters before shaking his head. " N-Nothing. Never mind."
Sam went to say something else but he soon receives a call and moves away from the doorway and answered it. Jack sighed and looked back at the laptop and pressed play. His heart warmed as he saw his mother on the screen.
He misses her so much.

SAM AND ZEN waited for Dean at the library. Sam was at the table in front of a laptop while Zen leans on the table with her arms crossed on her chest.
The door to the bunker opens and Dean enters, coming down the stairs.
"How was it? Uh, Jody told me about Missouri.", Sam says.
"Yeah, just another day at the office. How's the kid? He go dark side yet?", Dean asks, making Zen angrier by the second.
"Nope. He is uh, he's pretty messed up though.", Sam has turned in his chair so he is facing Dean.
"You're telling me.", Dean scoffs.
Zen snapped. "No, Dean. He's messed up because of you.", she paused. "Dean, you said you'd kill him."
Dean rolled his eyes. "It wasn't exactly like that-"
"Then how exactly was it?", Sam states with a stoic expression on his face.
"I told him the truth. See, you think you can use this freak but I know how this ends and it ends bad.", Dean yelled.
Sam looks at him incredulously. "I didn't-"
"What?", Dean interrupted.
"I didn't 'end bad'. When I was the freak, when I was drinking demon blood.", Sam says standing up and moving towards Dean.
Zen agreed. " Or when I told you about my abilities. You seemed to accept me the moment you heard it. What's different with Jack?"
"Come on guys, that's totally different.", Dean says shaking his head.
"Was it? Because you could've put a bullet in me. Dad told you to put a bullet in me, but you didn't! You saved me! So help me save him!", Sam yelled.
"You deserved to be saved, he doesn't!"
"Yes he does, Dean, of course he does!", Zen yelled with tears threatening to fall down her cheeks. She never liked arguing with Dean or any of her brothers for that matter. She hated yelling, it scared her.
Dean sighs angrily. "Look, I know you think that you can use him as some sort of an interdimensional can-opener and that's fine, but don't act like you care about him! Because you only care about what he can do for you! So if you want to pretend, that's fine! But me? I can hardly look at the kid! Because when I do all I see is everybody we've lost!"
"Mom chose to take that shot at Lucifer. That is not on Jack!", Zen defended.
"And what about Cas?"
"What about Cas?", Sam questioned.
" Don't you dare...", Zen muttered.
He ignores her. "He manipulated him, he made him promises, said, 'paradise on earth' and Cas bought it and you know what that got him? It got him dead! Now you guys might be able to forget about that, but I can't!", he boomed.
" Are you f*****g kidding me Dean?!", Zen snapped as tears fell down her cheeks.
Dean looks over at her and his eyes softened, realising his mistake. " Zen—"
" How dare you tell me I forgot about Cas! God Dean, you're acting like you're the only one that's lost someone important. How. f*****g. Dare. You!", She cried as she hits him on the chest repeatedly. Dean remains still and receives the blows as he watches his baby sister break down in front of him. Something the brothers rarely see.
"I lost him too, Dean! Cas was not just my friend, he was my anchor. He was the only thing that helped me whenever my powers started acting out! He was the only person I could trust because I was scared of what you'd think of me!", she let out a humourless laugh, her eyes flashing between gold and green.
"You know how many times I have tried to kill myself?! How many times I held an angel blade to my chest because I didn't want to be different?! Cas was always the one that stopped me, h-he was always the one that saved me...and he—he....he's gone.", she wailed as Sam gathers her up in his arms. She had always hoped Castiel would come back, but it has been days since they had buried him. And she has finally lost faith.
She held unto Sam like he was her lifeline and cried.
" He's gone..."
