15| T R A I N I N G ZENJA WATCHED CLOSELY as Jack tries to move the pencil with his mind. He holds his hand out towards the pencil and struggles to make it move. He exhales and slumps back in his chair in defeat. " I can't do it..." " Yes you can, J.", she encourages. " No, I can't. I'm...a squib.", he states, quoting Harry Potter. She rolls her eyes. " I don't think it works like that, J." " Well, you get the point...", he replies with as he stared at the pencil with a frown. " Try clearing your mind.", she suggests. He looks at her confusedly. She sighs and thinks of a way. " Well...", she trails off. A thought suddenly popped in her head. " What are your four most favourite things in the world?", she asks. " What?", he asks and she repeats. " Four most favourite things? Well...I only have three at the moment." " That can work too.", she replies. He thinks about it for a second before replying. " T.V, smiles, and the color yellow.", he answers. " Okay...now just close your eyes and think of those three things.", she states. Jack nods slowly and closes his eyes. He started thinking of the first time he had watched a movie, the sound of laughter ringing in his ears, and the hair that resembled the sun. He then realised that the three things he cherishes the most relates to the woman in front of him. He remembers watching a horror movie with her in her room, he remembers mimicking Dean when he ate the burger and watched as Zen laughed, he remembers the color of her blonde hair. Zenja Winchester was extremely important to him, he just didn't know why. Jack's flew open, gold orbs staring intently at the pencil. Zen watches in amazement as the pencil moves toward his direction, it floats just in between his palm and the table. " You did it!", she exclaimed in surprise. He grins. " I did it!", he exclaimed. At the same time, the pencil flew towards her. She yelped in surprise and jumped out of the way. The pencil made its way to the wall behind her, lodging itself in. She raises her hands up and stared at him in shock. " Sorry...", he says sheepishly. She stares at him for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter. Jack soon joins her and they both laugh at the situation at hand. >•< "YOU WANT SOME hot chocolate?", Zen asks out of nowhere as they laid on a couch in the library. He looks at her confusedly. " hot chocolate?" " Yep.", she states as she stood up. " You'll love it! Wait here." She didn't give Jack any time to reply as she ran towards the kitchen, quickly making the hot chocolate. Jack chuckles to himself and fiddles with the pencil he had recently lodged into the wall. He couldn't help but smile as he thought about his success. Without her help, he probably wouldn't be able to lift the damn thing as quick as he did. Without her patience, he would've given up a long time ago. He owes her his life, because with her, he felt at home... he felt human. Not some abomination Dean would think of him to be. " I'm back with the delicious goodies!", Zen announces as she plops herself beside him on the couch with two cups of hot cocoa topped with whipped cream. Se hands one to him and clinks her cup with his. " Drink up.", she states before taking the cup to her lips. Jack stared at the cup for a second before bringing it to his lips as well. He sighs in delight when he feels the warm liquid roll down his throat. He licks his lips in satisfaction before placing his cup on the coffee table in front of him. " Good?", she asks. He nods. " It's really good...", he replies and looks up at her. He stifled a laugh when he sees the whipped cream moustache she was currently sporting. Zen looks at him confused and places her cup on the coffee table. " What?", she questions. Jack points at the top of his lips with a smirk. " You got a little something..." Her eyes widen in embarrassment and quickly wipes the 'stache away with the back of her hand. Jack smiles and says, " You missed a spot...here let me." Her breath hitched on her throat when he reaches up to cup her face, wiping away the excess whipped cream on the side of her lips with his thumb. Her eyes stare into his, suddenly captivated by how blue it really was up close. Her eyes then flicker to his lips for just a moment...but a moment was all it took for him to start leaning in. She could hear her heart pounding against her ribcage as he got closer. Their breaths mingled with each other as their faces were now inches apart. If any of them would move a bit closer their lips would lock. Zen then gathers up all the courage she had and closes her eyes. She was about to move closer when suddenly her phone begins to ring loudly. They both jumped back in surprise, their faces flushed red. Zen blinks before clearing her throat. " I-I g-gotta...take this...", she stutters before standing up. Her heart was still beating fast when she answers the call. " Hello?" " Heya, Zen." She gulps. " Hiya, Sammy!", she greets in a fake sweet tone. She silently curses herself for sounding weird, it would only cause more suspicion. She thanked Chuck Sam didn't think anything of it since he replied with, " How are things with Jack? He didn't...lash out, did he?" She shakes her head in response but soon realises he couldn't see her right now, so she says, " No, everything's fine. Just dandy. It's all cool...", she rambles. She silently facepalms herself for being so goddamn obvious. She always rambles when she's nervous. Sam knew this as well, so he asks, " Are you ok? You're rambling, you only do that when you're nervous." Her face flushed red when she thought of the recent event. Her mind was going everywhere and her mouth started spewing words that didn't make sense. " I was just watching a movie and you called just in time for the s*x scene, I get really nervous when someone interrupts me when I'm watching something inappropriate and gross, not that you wouldn't do that too-" " Okaayy...TMI, Zen!" She laughs just as she hears Dean say, " Is that Zen?" She hears a bit of shuffling around the phone before she hears Dean's voice. " Kiddo?" She smiles softly and replies, " Hey,big brother. How's the hunt going?" " It's fine, we were actually just gonna head up to the 'haunted' house. Some kid's friend went Missing. Is everything all right there?" " Yeah, we're good. Bu the way, when you come back, can you pass by Mcdonalds or something? I've craving for chicken nuggets." She hears Dean laugh before he replies with, " Sure...listen we're gonna go now so-" " Oh yeah, okay. Good luck Dean-o, don't die!" Dean chuckles before replying, " Yes 'mam." She then hangs up the phone and turns around only to realise Jack was gone. She could still feel his presence inside the bunker so she knew he was probably in his room or something. Her mind then drifted to the recent event. If Sam never called, they could've kissed. She sighs and plops herself on the couch with a groan. It scared her when she realised how much he had wanted to kiss him. Was it too soon? Thoughts were swarming in her head, giving her a sense if whiplash. If she wasn't falling enough for him then, she probably fell for him harder now. She groans and uses a pillow to cover her face in embarrassment before whispering, " Dammit, Sammy."
