ZENJA COULD SENSE the power radiating off of the police station. The siblings could see lights flickering inside the building, fearing for the worst. As soon as Dean stopped the car, Zenja quickly ran towards the station, ignoring her brothers' calls.
She entered the building and watched as the lights flickered rapidly. She felt the power surge into her body, her eyes glowing a bright golden as she reached Jack, who was holding his head in pain.
" Jack?" she said as she slowly approached him, her hands up in surrender.
" Stay away!" he warned, his golden eyes glistening with pain.
Dean soon ran up behind her and pushed her away. " Get back, Zen!" he ordered.
" Dean wait!" she protested but he ignored her. Instead his hard eyes glared at the nephilim in front of them. Before Jack could walk towards them, he gasped and slumped down on the ground.
Zenja stared down at Jack's unconscious body before looking up at the person that tased him, who was in fact her brother, Sam.
" Move Dean," Zenja hissed as she pushed past him and towards the unconscious boy/archangel. She kneeled in front of him and hovered her hand over his chest, her eyes glowing as she felt his grace.
She knew Dean was glaring at her from behind. She knew Sam was staring down at her in shock and curiosity when he saw her glowing golden eyes. She knew she had to explain to them why she was worried for the nephilim. She knew she was screwed.
Just as Sam was about to walk towards her, the sheriff entered the room, gun in hand and pointed it at them.
" Hands up!" she ordered. Zenja sighed in annoyance as she slowly got up and raised her hands up in surrender. Her brothers doing the same.

ZENJA GROANED AS she was shoved in a cell together with her brother and Jack. Dean was outside, answering some questions, probably not giving two shits about lying to the sheriff. Honestly, they were all tired of lying to officials about their purposes and didn't care if they believed them or not.
" Zen..." Sam said, snapping her out of her train of thought. He had carried Jack into the cell and placed him on the bed.
Here we go, she thought with a sigh.
Sam continued. "What the hell happened back there? Your eyes...they were like Jack's."
Zenja didn't like the way Sam was looking at her. She knew he wouldn't say it outloud, she knew what he thought of her at the moment. A monster.
" Honestly Sam..." she breathed out. " I don't know..." she whispered.
Sam saw the tears gathering up in her eyes and his eyes softened. He knew what she was thinking, she was always an open book when it came to her emotions. He got up and sat beside her on the other bed, leaving Jack in the other.
" Zen...It's ok..." he said softly.
She shook her head as rebel tears rolled down her cheeks. " It's not ok, Sammy. I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know what I am. I just...I don't know anymore," she stated honestly.
Sam wrapped his arms around his sister. She immediately leaned into his hug and cried. She cried for their mother. For Castiel. For Crowley. For everyone she had lost in the past year. Zenja cried for all the s**t Chuck gave her.
Sam sat beside her as she let all the anger out using her tears. Sam knew she was close with Castiel, the angel and his sister was closer than the angel and his brother. His death affected her greatly as it did with Dean. The Winchesters were broken. They were broken the moment the yellow eyed son of a b***h killed his mother.
" When did your...abilities start showing?" he questioned as soon as she calmed down.
She screwed her eyes shut and took a deep breath. " Ever since we met Cas..."
Sam looked at her in shock. " You hid this from us ever since?"
She nodded slowly. " Yeah...I didn't tell you cause I was afraid you guys will look at me differently."
He looked at her sadly. " Zen we'd never look at you differently. We're family—"
" Not by blood..." she reminded him. " Maybe that's why I'm so...different."
She was a few months younger than Sam when she was left in front of the Winchester's porch, wrapped up in a worn blanket inside a cardboard box. She never knew who her parents were, she never had the reason to. Mary and John were the only parents she needed. John treated her like his own daughter and she appreciated that. The boys didn't mind and Mary was glad she had a daughter, she just didn't get to watch her grow up like she planned to. But Zenja still loved her.
She grew up into a hunter, she was a mixture of all the Winchesters. She was smart like Sam, strong like Dean, caring like Mary, and brave like John. And like a Winchester, she'd go through hell a hundred times for them.
Before Sam could say anything, Jack started to wake up. Sam gave her a look that meant they were going to finish this conversation later. Zenja watched as Jack got up from the bed and turned around, his eyes flashed into his usual nephilim gold ones whenever he felt threatened.
Sam immediately placed his hands up in surrender. "Whoa, whoa, whoa," Sam stated.
Jack ignored him and stared him down with a defensive stance.
"Easy, easy, easy, easy," Sam tried. "It's okay. You're okay. I'm not gonna hurt you," he reassured.
"You already hurt me," Jack stated not backing down.
"Yes, I did. I-I'm sorry..." Sam apologised. "I was just trying to slow you down."
Jack didn't falter and continued to glare at him.
" Jack..." Zenja whispered, grabbing the nephilim's attention. His gold eyes staring into her green ones.
" It's okay...we won't hurt you," she reassured. " I promise..."
Jack calmed down but his eyes were still golden. Sam watched the scene play out in curiosity and noted that he needed to ask her about this.
Sam cleared his throat, making Jack shift his attention to him. "You— you were, uh...Are you all right?" he asked.
"I don't—I-I was scared..." Jack whispered, his eyes going back to normal. " And when I get scared, things happen. I-I can't stop them."
Zenja felt bad for him. He was brought into this f****d up world without a parent to be there when he opened his eyes. Instead, he saw Dean pointing a gun at him and Sam tasing him afterwards.
"Why were you scared?" She asked him with soft eyes.
"Because of the voices.", he whispered. "They were so loud...so angry," he said with furrowed brows.
"Do you hear them right now?" Sam asked.
Jack stood up slowly when he realised the voices were gone. "No."
Sam let out a relieved sigh. "Good," He chuckled nervously, "Good."
Jack then exhales sharply before sitting on the bed with crossed legs, much like an Indian squat.
"I'm sorry."
"What?" Sam and Zen said simultaneously in confusion.
"Will you tell them that I'm sorry?",l Jack repeated.
"Yeah."
"Sure, Of course."
They replied in perfect sync. Zenja knew, then and there, he wasn't a threat. He was just as scared as both of them.
"Jack how are you, um How are we talking right now? I mean, you're—you're not even a day old.
How do you speak English?" Sam asked.
Jack smiled softly. "My mother taught me," he said.
"So you talked to her," Sam stated, still confused.
"I was her," He stated.
"Okay. And...um your powers. Did she teach you those too? Or..." Sam trailed off.
" No..." Jack furrowed his brows and stood up, examining a wall. "I-I don't know why these things happen. It's like I'm me, but not me," He replied looking over at Zenja. She knows what he had meant, she did the same thing back at the cabin. It was like she had no control of her body as she walked approached him back at the cabin.
"Jack, look, um before you were born, you—you opened up a door to another world. Do you remember that?" Sam asked, silently hoping he did. They needed to get their mother back.
Jack inhales deeply before responding with a, "Yes."
"Okay, um, could you do that again?" Sam asked, hope filling his eyes.
Jack shook his head. "I don't...I-I have to find my father," he said. "He'll protect me," he stated.
Zenja froze. "Jack, you gotta listen to me," she started. "That's not really what Lucifer does..."
Jack furrowed his brows and looked at her weirdly. "Lucifer? No, that's not his name."
Sam and Zenja looked over at each other in confusion before looking back at him.
"My father is Castiel."
