As soon as we got to the mansion, I went out of the car and headed directly to my room. I had a quick bath and then changed into my suit. I needed the distraction... and work is the perfect distraction.
I left the house without saying goodbye to Alex. She doesn't care anyway and she didn't ask where I was going. She was too busy with herself to even care. Why should I tell her where I was going?
When I got to the building, I headed to my office and instructed my secretary to deliver to me everything that I needed to finish. She came back with piles of papers in her arms. They are paperworks that needed my signature. I just needed to scan them quickly before signing them since majority of the approvals have already been discussed beforehand.
