Maddie's POV I turned on my back and felt the space beside me which was empty. I opened my eyes, squinting at the sun that was shining through the window. I rubbed my eyes and when I looked at Mariko's side, it was indeed empty. My heart sunk. Everything from yesterday came back to me. I remember Mariko getting into bed last night and he was holding me. He said that he loved me, and still my heart was broken, but not too much. I sat up straight, and I just didn't feel well. I placed my hand on my belly and I let out a sigh. "What are we going to do with your dad?" I asked the twins. With another sigh, I pulled the covers off from me and I stood up.
