As soon as I left my father’s coffee shop, I got a call from Sarah. A damn pipe decided to burst at the office. I was not in the mood, so I told Sarah to shut everything down, let the employees know not to come in tomorrow.
It’s one thing after another it seems. As soon as I ended the call with Sarah, I immediately thought of Gina. So I called Sarah back and told her to let everyone know, they have hazard pay, not to worry.
“Hazard pay? Zane you are going soft! Since when do you pay for non working?” Sarah laughed.
“This isn’t their fault the pipe burst and it’s not safe to go into the building.” I told Sarah.
“Uh huh. Ok I will handle this.” Sarah said to me on the phone.
