Rowan: The night sky blazed with promises above our heads. I sat just as high up as I could, admiring the way the stars twinkled in the dark. I couldn’t help but think about how perfect this night would be if we were out on the water for fun and not because of the chaos unfolding as naturally as fate had written it.
