3 Miela folded her arms and shook her head. “We could, but we can’t go anywhere yet.” “Why not?” I asked her. She eyed our cloaks. “Those cloaks don’t exactly show you as my grunt men, so you’re going to have to leave them behind.” “Can’t we hide them in the wagons?” I suggested. Miela shook her head. “Nope. The guards take everything out of the wagons, so there’s no place you can hide them.” “On the contrary,” Sage spoke up as he drew out the bee-and-bolt box. “We might hide them in there.” I examined the size of the box before I looked up at my grandfather. “I don’t think that’s going to fit more than two of our cloaks.” He smiled as he opened the lid.
