writingcamp - Every breath it takes

Scene 1 Tamara is a down to Earth woman working as a waitress in a local Irish Pub. She struggles with life and its downturns, mainly from her parents side, but she's optimistic, strong and with a rule: do not marry or have a serious relationship with a man from upper-class if you are not economically independent. As of now she's working things through with the perfect match (according to her own criteria), but life happens for him too, and things get complicated. She has a friend, Delia, who shares the same values as well as the same flatt. Scene 2 Alex is a man managing his family business, one of the biggest in the same city. He lives his best life but is highly disappointed by women. He had first had experience with deception from them for his money and status. Apparently he had some awesome genetics, because almost all of them claimed to be pregnant with his baby... His best moral support are his mother and his best friends Kaily and Joe (also a happy couple). Both parties think he has to loosen up and try again and they act so that he does. Scene 3 Alex and his friends often have a beer and some good time at the pub and Tamara gladly shares some good laugh with them between one order and the other, as they were her favourite regulars. When Tamara and Alex are near, the chemistry and the feeling between them brews underneath their own skin. It's so real that his friends push him to give it a try.  He refuses, obviously. But Kaily and Joe don't lose hope. They put on a big party to make them meet out of her work place, spike his drink to loosen him a bit and sparkle the fantasies of a depressed Tamara who, conveniently to their plan, decides to enjoy the company despite her strongest rule. And that's how the drama begins...
