I studied the two tomes purchased from Eudora, concentrating more on Embers of the Warlock than Other-worldly Spells. I dove into Embers’ chapters, thumbing through them with the velocity of a flying demon. Speed reading became useful during my task, and I collected valuable information regarding the warlocks of Templeton, Bitter, West End, and Erie, all cities and towns by the lake. History of Salem, Massachusetts in the spring of 1763 explained that the witches and warlocks during the Witch Trials and Burnings were misplaced, forced to leave Salem as refugees.
