Chapter 12 Could You Be More Shameless?

All the people didn’t realize that Deanna was just acting until she finished the scene for three whole minutes.

Mr. Bane looked at Deanna with excitement. Now he was extremely happy because finally, he found the right actress for his favorite role!

This girl is really a born actress. She is destined to be the best actress.

Mr. Jenkins marveled at Deanna’s excellent performance. He had never heard about the name of Deanna, but with such a skillful performance, she was already a great actress.

She is just a genius in terms of acting.

After the performance, Deanna bowed low toward Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Bane. Mr. Bane couldn’t hold back his appreciation. “Bravo! Miss Shaw, you’re going to be famous for that!”

“Thank you.” She was definitely going to win the Academy Award with her effort and realize her dream of getting all the major awards for acting in this life.

Deanna walked into the corridor with a perfect smile. The warm sunlight was all over her body.

But Ronnie was not as relaxed as Deanna. Her performance was not good at all. She couldn’t get the right feeling of being the leading role and performed awkwardly. After her audition was finished, she called Eva more than ten times, and Eva finally answered.

“What? Deanna wasn’t r***d? Did she put Charles into prison? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Ronnie was shocked and yelled because she couldn’t believe this horrible news.

“You’re locked in the police station too? And she broke off all relations with you?”

What the hell? How could she suddenly become so decisive? According to my plan, she should already be my puppet by now! And she is going to be my puppet until she turned useless one day!

Now that Deanna breaks off her relations with Eva, how could I continue to control her?

Ronnie almost screamed due to this shocking message, and she looked ghostly pale. Now she was really afraid.

She just couldn’t figure out what’s the problem with her plan.

“Fine. Recently, you’re not allowed to contact me anymore, in case some people may find our relationship.”

Ronnie’s hands were trembling. She turned on the tap and got some cool water on her face to calm herself.

Her memory about her days in middle school rushed back and grasped her heart, together with a shocking secret.

I would never let Deanna be successful because she was the real daughter of the Shaw family.

Yeah, Ronnie had known that she was not the real member of the Shaw family because Eva had found her and told her the truth when she was a teenager. At first, she didn’t buy it. But when she saw Deanna, who looked quite like Mrs. Shaw, she had to believe it.

From then on, she had started to view Deanna as her enemy and do everything she could to send her into hell.

Ronnie’s real identity should never be exposed, and she should never lose the identity of Miss Shaw because she didn’t want to live a poor life as Deanna was experiencing.

So, Deanna, don’t blame me for being cruel to you. It’s just your fault to have such a tragic life.

Ronnie came to the corridor with desperation all over her face and met Deanna there. For no reason, Deanna just made Ronnie feel uneasy today.

But soon Ronnie relaxed and wore a perfect smile. She said to the group of actresses for the audition, “I think you guys must be tired by now. What about I treat you guys with some food in the DKC?”

After Ronnie said that, the group of actresses were all thrilled and discussed happily.

“Really? Miss Shaw? You’re so sweet!”

“Oh my god! Did you hear that? It’s the DKC! It would take tens of thousands of dollars for just a meal!”

“Miss Shaw is such a great actress! She is really generous, kind, and perfect!”

After hearing the praise of these people, Ronnie felt much better. She glanced scornfully at Deanna who was sitting in the corner.

“Miss Shaw, are you coming with us?” Ronnie especially emphasized “Miss Shaw” with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Ronnie wanted to let everybody notice the huge gap between her and Deanna. Actually, she didn’t really mean to invite Deanna there, because she knew that Deanna would never attend any party with her. Deanna knew nothing about socializing. She would just smile awkwardly and say nothing or something abrupt, which would only make people laugh at her.

Find an excuse and stay away from me. That is the right choice for Deanna.

That would be the routine for Deanna.

However, Ronnie didn’t know that the new version of Deanna was no longer the self-debased shy girl who was just a coward. Deanna was now a sophisticated woman who had attended all kinds of occasions.

Ronnie ignored the sarcasm of Ronnie. She smiled wickedly and said, “Since you invited me so sincerely, I would definitely accept it, or it would be quite impolite. But I have to tell you one thing, Miss Shaw, I’m kind of picky about the food, so may I order the food I like?”

Since Ronnie really wants to be embarrassed, I could grant her that. I can order a hell lot of expensive food as revenge on her.

Ronnie was surprised at Deanna’s answer. She stared at Deanna with disbelief. Then she tried her best to smile in front of everybody. “Of course, you could have anything you like.”

So you’re now so shameless? I never invited you sincerely! Come on, girl! Are you really that stupid?

DKC was a very fancy restaurant, with luxurious decoration, oil paintings of the last century, and crystal chandeliers. Every decoration of this restaurant was telling four words to all the passersby, “forbidden for the poor”.

To put it simply, the ones who dared to come to this restaurant would be millionaires or even billionaires. They were all influential people. Common stars wouldn’t dare to come here, because the food here would be too expensive for them.

The girls were sitting by the table happily. Ronnie looked quite proud. She smiled and intentionally handed the menu to Deanna. “Just order whatever you like. It’s my treat.”

Other girls looked at each other with a mocking smile. They had gotten used to Ronnie’s sarcasm towards Deanna who then looked embarrassed. So most people were expecting a great show.

Ordering the food was not such a simple thing, especially in this kind of fancy restaurant. From appetizers to soups and desserts, it would be easy for people to figure out the taste and quality of a person who ordered the food. Without professional training from some rich families, one would never be able to order the food properly, and even the waiters would sneer at that person.

Everyone knew that Ronnie did this to embarrass Deanna because Deanna was from a slum. She would never be able to do that well.

So they were now waiting for the scene where Deanna got annoyed or even mad and then left after being humiliated.

But Deanna didn’t cry or get mad. She glanced at the menu and said with a happy smile, “Wow, this place is really good! It even has venison!”

Gee, what a useless loser! She just gets so excited when she sees venison!

Penny felt the unfriendly look of everyone around her. She rubbed her goblet gently and said with a smile, “I’m allergic to venison. Miss Shaw, you must come to this place very often. I think it would be better for you could order the food so that we could have some food you recommend.”

Penny was praising Ronnie for her wealth, but she was also trying to get Deanna out of that embarrassing situation. Deanna glanced at Penny. This girl is really kind and innocent.

Obviously, Ronnie would never give up any chance to humiliate Deanna. Ronnie said coldly, “Penny, if you’re allergic to venison, you can just quit having it. Deanna wants to order some food she likes, so why should you stop her from that?”

Penny bit her lips hard and was a little terrified by Ronnie who just scolded her. She smiled apologetically at Ronnie.

Ronnie was not someone I can afford to offend. I’m sorry, Deanna, I can’t help you this time.

“Deanna, just order the food quickly! I’m quite hungry now!”

“Yeah, just make your choice. The waiter has waited here for a long time.”

“It’s just such a simple thing. Can you do it or not? Didn’t your mother tell you something about that? Should you call her and ask her to teach you again?”

Deanna was enjoying herself and she just smiled calmly. She looked down, so no one noticed the wickedness flashed across her eyes.

So you’re all hungry, right? All right, I’m gonna serve you with an unforgettable meal.
