Nathan's POV I watched her for a long time. She was sleeping after I had calmed her about the person that was killed in the race. I had told her not to worry. I would handle it. I watched the rise and the fall of her chest, the plastered hair on her forehead and the softness of her lips. All of these features complemented her looks. I felt a sense of calm wash over me. Her gentle breathing and peaceful expression soothed my soul, and I knew in that moment, she was mine. My mate. I smelt it, I felt it and I knew it. The connection was there, I could feel it, it was undeniable. Every fibre of my being screamed that she belonged to me, that we were meant to be together. I dared to reach out, gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, and I felt this surge of possessiveness. Mine. T
