Violet's POV
Nathan? Who was Nathan? The name sounded strange, it had never been mentioned by either my step dad or Aaron himself. Even mother hadn't brought up a Nathan before, or did she not know about this mysterious person who was linked to my step dad?
Thinking about the possibility of mother not knowing about this particular child of him made me furious. What was he hiding behind all of his wealth? And what other secrets did he have that mother knew nothing about? I wondered.
"You need to come home Nathan," his voice softened. "I just got married again, you need to meet my wife." It was as though he read my mind and uttered those words as a peace offering. I was glad he had no intention of keeping this away from mother, but I was equally curious as to who Nathan was.
