Terry almost yelled in triumph but instead he stood, giving Maggie one last kiss.
“Where are you going?”
“To get you another drink.” He took her glass from her hand and headed for the bar.
“No. Thank you. One’s enough.”
He turned and stared at her. “Rule number two, never question your master.”
“There are rules?” She sounded appalled.
He chuckled. “A few but they’re simple.” He moved to the bar and filled her glass, bringing it back to her. “Rule one is always obey your master.”
“And rule two is never question your master.” She took the drink from him.
“I knew you’d be a quick study.”
“It sounds like a cult.”
