A short introduction
Welcome to Dominions. Before we dive into the series, a few words about the structure. When I started writing the first book, Dark Glass, I envisaged Dominions as a nine-novel series with various side-stories, either novellas or short stories. These side-stories would relate to the overall series, but it wouldn’t be necessary to read them in order to understand the overarching Dominions story.
DominionsDark GlassDominionsDominionsThis caused problems when I came to compile this complete edition. In what order did I present these stories? Did I stick to publication chronology, and risk interrupting the main series flow with the side-stories? Did I put them in story-time chronology, so that books giving back-story to the main series appeared first?
In the end, I decided to put the side-stories at the end (all except Gatekeeper, a short story that works as a prologue to the whole series). Most of the side-stories can be seen as back-story, except Errant, which (story-time) takes place at roughly the same time as Riled Dogs (Dominions IV).

And without further ado, let’s start.
