18 - 18 - Paskia had no idea how long she slept. The lights were still bright in the room, so maybe that meant it was still daytime, or whatever they decided was daytime. She thought back, and could vaguely recall her old room being dark, but maybe things were different this time. There was a soft buzzing coming from the wall by the head of the bed. She sat up, and the buzzing stopped. She thought that maybe she was now too far from the sound, and tested her theory by laying back down, but the buzzing had definitely stopped. This felt like something that had happened before, and Paskia understood it to be a means of alerting her. Farrock would be arriving soon, to take her elsewhere. And so it proved. She had just enough time for a quick wash before the door opened and her case worker
