31 - 31 - Genna didn’t think she slept. Not properly. Maybe she just rested her eyes for a moment. Her throat was dry, and she could taste her own sour breath. She moved, and caught the stink from her body, and she wanted a shower. Oh, so desperately did she want a shower. The room didn’t seem as bright now, and she didn’t know if that was through a change in the lighting or in her eyes. Not that this was important. Whatever the reason, she could see clearly. She could make out details on the food prep area, covered in mugs that Genna knew were half-full, discarded once the contents cooled and Aleph’s mind started to drift.
