Jaden VS Darren

However, right before Darren announced his request, Jaden, who had been observing the former, suddenly stood up with a dark expression on his face. His voice reverberated in the training chamber.

“Darren, you must be really strong to given the title of number one. Could you please give me some pointers?”

The sudden voice caused the training chamber to lapse into silence and one by one, astonished gazes turned to rest upon Jaden.

“Jaden, what are you doing?”

William hastily asked, also shocked by Jaden’s actions. Though Jaden’s performance today had exceeded his expectations by far, when all is said and done, his son still had a while to go before reaching Darren’s level. Armed with only Qi Condensing Realm 9th Stage and perfect stage Earth Titan Fist, it was not possible for Jaden to beat Darren who had already reached Qi Condensing Realm 10th Stage! It may appear to be a difference of only one stage but actually there was a huge gap of strength from 9 stage to 10 stage. A cultivator of the 10th stage can easily defeat five 9th stage condensing realm cultivators.

“Young Master, don’t go!”

Quickly regaining her wits, anxiety replaced the shock on Mera’s tiny face. She knew that Jaden’s sudden actions were likely all for her sake. When Jaden went missing, Darren used to harass her on a daily basis. He even wanted to make her his maid to do indecent things to her.

“Don’t worry father, I only want to exchange some pointers with Darren. Even if I lose, you will not lose face……” Jaden grinned as he said.

These words knocked William out of his daze. He hesitated for a while before grudgingly nodding his head, cautioning his son: “Be careful.”

Jaden nodded in reply. He patted Mera’s tiny head before turning to walk into the arena under the numerous gazes of the crowd. As he was turning, a sneer flitted across his eyes. If Darren had just been satisfied with obtaining first place, Jaden would not even bother to excessively expose his strength. It’s a pity that even with first place, Darren was still greedy for the only thing he would never have! Really, give someone an inch and he’ll want a mile…

Sitting next to William, the Crown Prince was quite amused to hear the challenge Jaden issued against Darren. He also wanted to know exactly how powerful this young man has become after only cultivating for just a few months.

Jaden’s footsteps stopped at the perimeter of the stone platform as he turned to look at Victor Shiba, smiling as he inquired: "First Elder, would it be alright for me to issue a challenge?”

Regaining his wits, Victor Shiba inspected Jaden with an astonished look. Even after Darren’s strength had been clearly displayed to Jaden, he still dared to issue a challenge. Either Jaden was asking for trouble or he had some kind of assurance in himself.

“Looks like he seems to have found some weak point……”

Suddenly, a faint sense of anticipation appeared in the depths of Victor Shiba’s eyes. In the same competition many years before, William had also distinguished himself in a similar way, causing Victor Shiba a massive headache. After all in that competition William humiliated his son and he doesn't want to repeat that exact thing with his grandson. But he accepted it either way.

“Normal rules, request for challenge accepted.”

Seeing Victor Shiba’s approval, Jaden finally smiled.

“You brat, to think that you would come knocking on trouble’s door. Even I had a hard time dealing with Darren.” Tina’s angry voice sounded out as she stomped towards Jaden.

“Now is not the time to show off and act brave.”

Tina was unhappy that she had failed to meet her own expectations and Jaden could only chuckle in response. Without a word, his figure leaped up onto the stone platform where Darren was already standing, arms crossed and staring at Jaden while sneering.

“Jaden, looks like your self confidence has swelled after reaching the top three?” With a forced smile on his face, Darren looked at Jaden who now stood before him

“Thus I would like to invite you to help me sober up.” Acting as if he did not hear the mockery in Darren’s words, Jaden replied with a smile.

“Fine, if you want to die, who am I to reject?” Darren lazily said.

“Uncle, can we start?” After one last glance towards Darren, Jaden turned to ask Clark who was at the bottom of the platform.

“You……” Clark opened his mouth as if he had something to say before finally sighing in helplessness. He waved a hand: “Begin.”

As Clark’s voice faded, Darren’s originally lazy expression turned ice-cold. A weak glow bathed his body. He was clearly not going to pull any punches……

“Jaden, I will now show you how huge of a gap there is between us!”

Profound Qi rolled about in his channels as ripples of power spread across Darren’s body. He sneered at Jaden before quickly taking two steps forward and appearing before the latter. A cold force on the palm that was heavily thrusting towards Jaden.
