Gathering Intel and Cultivation

Upon entering, he nodded silently. The spirit qi in the capital was clearly thicker than outside. There was an array formation master who set up a massive Spirit Gathering Formation in and out of the Thunder Titan Empire's capital to achieve this effect.

Jaden walked through the long street paved with greystone and fell into deep thought.

Even Profound Cores would have to eat. Only Nascent Souls would possess powers to absorb the essences of the universe to nourish their bodies with the qi of day and night. They can easily live off the food for months.

Therefore, the best place to obtain information in the Imperial Capital was a restaurant.

Raising his head, Jaden caught sight of a two storied restaurant not far away on his left. Noon had yet to arrive but there were already plenty of customers within, mostly cultivators.

Entering the restaurant, Jaden did not head up to the private rooms on the second floor. Instead, he looked for a seat nearby the windows on the first floor and sat down, casually ordering some food.

Before long, more people gathered on the first floor.

Many cultivators were gathered in small groups as they discussed the recent happenings of the cultivation world.

Jaden listened in while sipping his drink in no hurry.

A long time later, someone in the crowd suddenly remarked, “The Young Master of Shiba Clan was a really unfortunate individual.”

“You're right. He was a really unfortunate individual, being born as a cripple in a Cultivator Clan like Shiba and at the end he lost his life from falling off the cliff.”

"Now, Marcus Shiba will become the next young master of the Shiba Clan after the Annual Clan Tournament. I also heard that whoever gets in the top 10 place in the tournament will get the chance to be selected by top Academies and the First place will definitely get a place in the Imperial Academy, The Thunder Titan Academy."

Jaden sighed internally. That Marcus guy not only killed the previous owner of the body but now he wants to take Jaden's place in the Clan. Jaden had already planned to take revenge on Marcus for the previous owner of this body.

After eating something delicious, Jaden found a Hotel to stay for a few days as he planned to gather more intel about the situation in Shiba Clan.

Jaden spent three days gathering all the information he needed to know. But he didn't just spend his time gathering information but also cultivating.

Jaden had been getting a feeling that his body was rapidly changing while he was training. This was especially noticeable when he was practicing the Bloody Berserker Stance, one of the forms in the Rage God Body Transformation Technique.

Jaden could clearly feel that a hole of sorts seemed to have opened on top of his head, feeling like he was in a trance, he also sensed that numerous amounts of bright, multicolored energy, as well as Profound Qi, present among the Heavens and Earth, all of which were surging towards him, entering his body from the top of his head. The five viscera and six bowels within his body behaved like a piece of dry sponge meeting water for the first time as they madly absorbed and devoured the energy and Profound Qi that entered into his body. While his own heart, spleen, liver, lungs, and kidney were absorbing those energies.

The Nine Stance of the Rage God, consist of various sets of postures and breathing techniques. First part of the process was done in an attempt to circulate the Qi, while the second part was done to circulate the Qi to a focal point and the last step was done to circulate the Qi towards its original point. The exercise is divided into three parts and it should be accomplished in the order stated above from start to finish. To those who have trained to this extent, they would be able to manipulate their Qi up and down to do as they see fit, allowing them to step into the realm of total concentration.’

Once one had practiced the ‘First Stance from the Nine Stance of Rage God of Rage God Body Transformation Technique’ to this degree, only then would one truly be considered to have “transcended into the realm of total concentration.”

In the morning, after having completed a single round of training, Jaden felt his entire body become light and agile, as though he was floating on air. It was a feeling of extreme coziness as well as a sense of comfort which he found himself unable to put into words.

After having his fill of breakfast and lunch, Jaden continued to cultivate. Every time he did so, his inner organs would absorb and devour a large amount of bright and multicolored energy and Profound Qi of Heaven and Earth. For every time he cultivated, he would receive corresponding gains. Cultivating for five rounds every day before dinnertime, Jaden felt like the entirety of his body seemed to have immersed itself in a completely different state of being. He could feel that his body was bursting with energy while his sight and hearing perception had been raised to a more advanced level. His eyesight was becoming keener, while his hearing had also been elevated and now could notice even the most minute amounts of noise. After he finished his afternoon training on the mountain, Jaden could sense that the scenery in his surroundings had unexpectedly turned more vivid and lively.
