Qi Gathering Pill

One week later,

It's been a week since the annual clan assessment ended. In the past week, Jaden didn’t cultivate much like he was doing earlier. He took a rest from all the cultivation and stuff. In this past week he put more focus on alchemy. With the help of VEX, he was easily able to devore all the knowledge available to him in his father’s library. More importantly - the forbidden section of his father’s library. In those ancient books and scrolls, he was able to find fascinating knowledge of various types of herbs and plants that are used to make cultivation and medical pills. The books were filled with deep knowledge of various alchemy methods.

Right now Jaden was sitting in his room in front of an alchemy cauldron. He had already purchased all the necessary ingredients required for the formation of Qi Gathering Pill, this type of pills are more powerful than Blood and Vitality Pills as only high level alchemists can make them. The reason Jaden was starting with this was because of his own ability and another was VEX, who made it easy in the formation of the pill.

At the center of his hand, the Golden flame emerged and continued to burn as wisps escaped to soar up into the air, only to dissipate shortly after. He placed the golden flame at the bottom of the cauldron to heat it up. This Golden Flame was the fruit of Jaden's effort in the past week, as he already knew that to become a competent alchemist, he needed a powerful flame. So, he spent the last week searching for it and at last he got his answers. This flame was formed by the combination of two elements present in Jaden's Bloodline. He has a dual elemental Titan bloodline. Fire and Thunder. This combination gave birth to a powerful flame- The Golden Lightning Flame.

"Vex, I am going to refine the Qi Gathering Pills and I need your assistance. Keep a close eye on the process and alert me if any anomalies occurred during the process."

[BEEP! Affirmative Sir]

After heating up the cauldron, he picked up a stalk of Blue-leaf Lily and gently dropped it into the cauldron.

As the Blue-leaf Lily came into contact with the “Golden Lightning Flame”, it was instantly burned into the form of a Blue liquid which rolled about within the flame, revealing its hidden luster.

The Golden flame churned as it grew more and more intense. Jaden was concentrating all his attention into controlling the temperature of the flame with his palm. If the temperature were just a slight bit higher, the Blue liquid would evaporate into nothingness.

After the temperature of the flame was maintained at a certain point for a period of time, specks of green impurity suddenly appeared within the Blue liquid.

Gazing at the green specks of impurity, Jaden finally gave a slight nod. With a light flick of his finger, the green specks gathered and separated with some of the Blue liquid into a smaller ball of liquid and was expelled from the main body.

After expelling the impurities, other tiny light impurities started appearing one after another. Likewise, these impurities were cleaned up by Jaden.

The Golden flame continued to burn, within it, the Blue liquid which was originally half a fist large had shrunk to a mere thumb size amount.

Deep Blue liquid rolled about at the center of the cauldron, like a blue pearl, serene and mysterious.

When the first stalk of Blue-leaf Lily was the size of a thumb, Jaden finally stopped calcining. He continued by dropping the other four stalks into the cauldron, calcining them into four Blue pearl-like balls of pure liquid.

After a long period of purification by the “Golden Lightning Flame”, five small bodies of fluid slowly fused together. At the moment of fusion, the volume expanded by a large extent, however, a split second later, it shrunk to only a thumb size.

Seeing this, in one fluid motion Jaden quickly grabbed the Yellow Vitality Fruit on the table and threw it into the flame.

Once the Yellow Vitality Fruit entered the cauldron, it was transformed into a dark yellow fluid which emitted traces of hot air. Removing the impurities from the dark yellow fluid, Jaden gradually covered the dark yellow fluid with the now burning blue fluid.

“Zi! Zi!……”

Strange noises echoed about as the two liquids of different attributes met and a white smoky plume rose from within the raging flame.

As the plume of smoke given off gradually decreased, a rough pill-like object started to form from within the cauldron.

Gazing serenely upon the almost formed pill, Jaden slightly inclined his head. Once again he threw the Qi Gathering Flower and the Water Attribute Rank 2 Beast Core into the flame.

Melt into liquid, remove impurities, fuse together…... These three types of actions were complicated procedures which required meticulous effort. Yet Jaden managed to accomplish all of them as if they were a single fluid motion, not even stopping a single time.

Neutralizing the rampaging power in the Beast Core with the Qi Gathering Flower, the pure light blue energy was poured into the pill-like object as it was still forming.

When the last drop of blue energy entered into the pill, the bumpy-looking pill-like object was restored into a smooth and slippery shape. A dull blue gleam could be seen hovering on the surface of the pill, making it look both splendid and magnificent.

Though finished with all the steps, Jaden did not stop there. Instead he warmed the pill in the cauldron for almost ten minutes before finally extinguishing the Golden flame.

When the flame died away, Jaden’s left hand swiftly sucked a jade bottle from the table towards him and fluidly stored the pill, colored in shades of dark yellow and light blue, into the bottle.

“Phew……” A long sigh escaped his lips as Jaden successfully made a cultivation pill in his first try.

Carefully accepting the jade bottle, Jaden excitedly brought it under his nose to take a whiff. A familiar fragrance entered his nostrils which made him feel renewed with energy.

While eyeing the bluish green pill within the bottle, Jaden asked, " Vex, evaluate this pill based on the data present on the pill category."

It was a huge success in Jaden's book because only a rank 3 Alchemist can make pill of this quality and even then the impurities present in those pills are more than 40%, that only 60% medical properties are provided to the consumer.
