Grab Me
In the afterlife, many souls journey beyond as they all seek rest and peace. Most of the souls get lost on their way to the afterlife but Anubis, the god of mummification and the afterlife as well as the patron god of the lost souls and the helpless, helps these souls to find rest and peace in the afterlife.
Anubis is one of the oldest beings that has lived and reined. Right after Beelzebub was hauled down, Anubis seems to be more powerful than Beelzebub and this brought the concern of the humans whether to fear Anubis or Beelzebub.
The human world, however, has suffered much opposition from Beelzebub and as technology innovation rapidly changed the ways of life, many companies wish to be the best and lots of them have sold their souls to Beelzebub in other to be famous.
There lived a young man known as Scott from New Jersey who was working for Kings Tech. Who worked as an IT guy and was neglected and mocked by the senior staff at Kings Tech. Most female colleagues detests him and has nothing to do with him even when Scott tries to be friends with them.
Moreover, Kings Tech has not been doing so well like every other technology company around the world and this draws the attention of the CEO, Dr. Philip. On the day of his meeting with the investors, the Investors threaten to withdraw all their investments from Kings Tech.
Nevertheless, Dr. Philip gave them an assurance that things would improve as he has already started making moves to advance their investment and take it to the next level. “We need to give him more time to fix this or we all pull out,” one of the Investors said at the closing remark.
The meeting lasted for an hour and when Dr. Philip was walking out from the meeting, he met Scott in the hallway as he was trying to get a cup of coffee. “What is your name son?” Dr. Philip asked Scott. “I am Scott by name sir,” Scott replied as he puts the cup of coffee down. “Meet me in my office in five,” Dr. Philip said as he walked straight to his office.
A gentle knock was heard by Dr. Philip as he beckons the person to come in, “Oh! You are already here,” Dr. Philip said to Scott. “Yes sir,” Scott replied with a smile as Dr. Philip offers him a seat. “I am getting old and soon I will hand this company over to my son,” Dr. Philip said as he moves his chair back to grab a paper.
Handing the paper over to Scott, he said, “this is the financial report of our company and we have not been doing well like every other Tech company around the world.” “I am sorry sir but maybe you should be talking with the accountant and not the IT guy,” Scott replied with a sad look. “I know!” Dr. Philip replied. “I don’t need a professional adviser on this,” Dr. Philip added.
“If you were under my shoe, what would you have done?” Dr. Philip asked Scott. “I will not stop going further,” Scott replied. “I will not give up!” Scott added. “That is good enough for me,” Dr. Philip replied with a smile. “I will be handing this company to my son tomorrow to carry my legacy. I am retiring,” Dr. Philip said as he thanked Scott for his time.
Scott went home late and when he was on his way home, he noticed he was been followed and when he turned, he wouldn’t see anyone but he kept ongoing. As he reaches out for his door to open it, his key fell and when he bent down to pick it up, he noticed a shadow standing close by.
He swiftly turned but saw no one; he grabbed his key and quickly opened the door and ran inside. After he had taken his bath and has had his dinner, he walked straight to his bed for his night rest.
Meanwhile, at Dr. Philip’s apartment, after Dr. Philip finish having dinner with his family, he informed his son, Shane of his retirement plans and told him to get ready tomorrow to step up as the new CEO of Kings Tech. Shane was happy and thanked his father for this wonderful news and promised not to let his legacy die.
“You must do well to keep the investors and make sure you don’t get stressed by them,” Dr. Philip advises his son. “We will celebrate your takeover tomorrow with the board of directors,” Dr. Philip added.
After they have all retired to their bedroom, Shane stayed awake watching wrestling, and suddenly the sitting room became dark and within a twinkling of an eye, the lights went back on again. Shane looked around and then continued watching his wrestling.
Not long enough, Shane’s mother walked out from her room, “You are still awake son?” “Yes mom,” Shane replied. “I am having a good time here mom,” Shane added with a smile. “You need to marry your bed,” Shane’s mom replied. “I really need to marry a wife,” Shane replied with a smile as he stands to his feet. “Hahaha!” Shane’s mom laughs.
At a liquor shop down the street, some men were having fun when they suddenly felt a rapid wind inside the shop. The owner of the liquor shop Mr. Mike tried closing the window but a force of the wind slammed him to the pool table. As Mr. Mike lifted his head up he saw a man in a black suit standing close to him with his hand stretched to help him up. “Thanks, man,” Mr. Mike said to the man as he looked around seeing his customers dead with their heart ripped out.
Back at Scott’s apartment, as Scott was lying down on his bed he felt a warm touch and he quickly jumped up seeing a figure of a man with the head of a Jackal. “Who are you?” Scott asked as he shakes in fear.
