The Accusation

Alexandria's POV "Raizel! Please, believe me!" I shouted, desperately seeking his help as I was forcibly dragged into the throne room. I was made to kneel in front of the Alpha King and the Luna Queen. "Please, believe me. I would never do something like this. I value our relationship!" I had hoped that Raizel would look at me and trust that I couldn't stoop so low as to cheat with his guard, but his head remained lowered, and he showed no inclination to hear me out. Disappointment flooded over me. We had only been married for six months, and he professed his love for me. "Stop lying when the evidence is right in front of us!" the Luna Queen shouted at me. "Crown Princess, I never thought you would act like this. It's so sad to see you behaving this way." "Your Highness, I'm telling the truth. I would never stoop so low as to cheat with a guard!" I defended myself. If Raziel wasn't going to defend me as my husband, then the least I could do was stand up for myself. "I don't know how these pictures were found or how the videos were made, but I will..." The Luna Queen threw the pictures at me. My eyes widened as I saw myself and the guard kissing. My hands trembled as I picked up one of the pictures from the ground. It couldn't be me in the picture—I was known for my braided hair and tanned skin and it was the same thing in the pictures. The worst part was that there were multiple pictures of us in different poses and clothes. We were laughing in some, kissing in others, and even on a date in one. I couldn't even remember any of those moments. I was being blackmailed, and there was no one supporting me. I placed my hand on my stomach and rubbed it gently. "I..." My voice shook uncontrollably. "I am pregnant with the prince's child," I announced, hoping they would realize that the pictures and other evidence were lies. I looked at Raziel, who surprisingly was staring at me. His blue eyes were devoid of any emotion, but they glared at me with so much hatred, as if he didn't expect me to make such an announcement. "I am pregnant with the Crown Prince's child!" I repeated, turning to the Alpha King, who had been silent all this time. I had always regarded him as a father figure since I lost my family as a child. The Alpha King had always seen me as his daughter, but now, he wore a look of contempt on his face and seemed reluctant to even look at me. At that moment, I realized I was alone. There was no one on my side. No one was willing to believe that I didn't do it. "You b***h!" the Luna Queen stood up from her throne and approached me. She raised her hand and slapped me across the face. "Now you lie to me with a straight face! How dare you talk about an illegitimate child with my son!" "I'm telling you the truth. I'm pregnant with the prince's child, and I only..." She silenced me with another slap, and this time, it felt as if my vision was about to blur. "Stop lying to me, you foolish woman!" she yelled, then pointed towards the entrance of the throne room. The door opened, and the guard I was secretly involved with was dragged in, accompanied by my maid. They were both shoved to the ground, and it was my maid who spoke first. "Your Highnesses, the Crown Princess and Guard Henry have been involved with each other for months. I discovered them a week after the Crown Prince left for pack affairs, and..." "Liars!" I shouted at her. "Lia!" I rose from the ground and walked toward her. I dropped to my knees in front of her, gripping her shoulder. "How could you say such things about me?" I yelled at the top of my voice. "You knew I would never do something like that, yet you lied about me!" "Let her speak, Alexandria!" The Alpha King's voice boomed with authority. "There's no reason for your maid to fabricate lies about you, so you better keep quiet and let us hear what she has to say. Speak, Lia!" I burst into tears, covering my face in shame. I was defeated because no one wanted to listen to me, not even my maid who had betrayed me with her lies. The surreal nature of the situation overwhelmed me, and I knew that no matter how much I cried, no one would come to my rescue unless Raziel believed me. "She has been involved with him for some time!" Lia added to her lies. Filled with anger, I grabbed her shoulders and screamed at her. "How could you do this to me? I thought you considered me your friend! How could you...?" I yelled at her and wept on her shoulder. "I..." "Is this true, Guard Henry?" The Alpha King asked him. "Is what she's saying the truth?" Guard Henry nodded in response. "She and I have been secretly involved," he confessed, and Raziel reacted angrily, seizing him by the throat and hurling him across the room. "How dare you touch what belongs to me!" Raziel appeared in front of him, raising his hands, his claws extended, and slashed the guard's chest. "Why are you so furious, Your Highness?" the guard asked, laughing. "I enjoyed every moment with the Crown Princess, the way she called my name when I entered her..." Before he could finish, Raziel angrily plunged his claws into Henry's chest and removed his heart. I let out a scream as the heart fell to the ground, and when Raziel turned to face me, his eyes had turned blood-red, as if he was on the verge of shifting into his lycan form. He pushed the guard to the ground and started moving toward me. "Raziel!" I shouted his name as he glared at me with a menacing expression as if he wanted me to vanish from the face of the earth. But before he could reach me, the Alpha King intervened."Enough, Raziel!" he commanded. Raizel halted his approach toward me, and his eyes changed to blue as he looked up to face the Alpha King. "Yes, Father," he said, bowing his head. "Your Highness," I cried out, hoping to plead for mercy. "Please, Your Highness, I implore you to investigate this and..." "Shut up!" The Luna Queen shouted at me. "You know the penalty for having an affair in the royal family. You have broken a significant rule, and you know the consequences." The penalty was death. I was already aware of that, but dying so swiftly while pregnant would be a tragic outcome. I couldn't simply accept my fate without a fight, especially when it meant my unborn babies would never have a chance at life. I couldn't comprehend who would set me up in such a manner, and no matter how hard I tried to unravel the truth, I had no idea who wanted me dead. "Please, have mercy on me," I cried, clutching my stomach. "Please, I am..." The Luna Queen's voice interrupted me. "Guards!" she shouted. "Take her away and lock her up until she faces her persecution!" she ordered. The guards near the throne room entrance moved closer to me, but Raizel intervened. "What are you doing, son?" The Luna Queen questioned. "Alexandria needs to be imprisoned and sentenced to death!" As the Luna Queen spoke, Raizel gazed at me, his fists clenched, and our eyes met. I wondered what thoughts raced through his mind and whether he believed their accusations against me or if would he trust my words. I yearned to know. "I will handle this, Mother," Raizel's voice resonated as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up from the ground. He led me out of the throne room, disregarding the voices of his parents. He walked so briskly that I struggled to keep up with him. "Raizel!" I called out to him as he took me to the car garage and pushed me into one of the cars, a black Audi. Before I could say anything, he got into the car and started the engine. He drove recklessly, speeding out of the royal residence. Throughout the ride, he remained silent, but I could hear him groaning continuously until we reached the pack's border. He stopped the car by the roadside and dragged me out. "How could you?" Those were the first words he uttered to me. "I loved you, Alexa. We have been together for years, yet you betrayed me and slept with my guard. I Raziel Andrews reject you Alexandria Herald as my mate. " Hearing those accusations from him tore my heart apart. I never anticipated that he would say something like that. I believed our love was strong enough for him to trust me, but just like everyone else, he didn't believe in my innocence. "Raizel!" I cried out, my voice filled with desperation, and I reached out to touch his chest. "I would never betray you like that. How can you believe the words of a guard over mine? I could never..." Tears streamed down my face as he turned his back on me. "Please, give me a chance to prove myself to you. I would never do something like this to you. I love you so deeply!" My heart shattered, and the love story we had shared seemed to be crumbling before my eyes. "Please, Raizel!" I pleaded, hugging him tightly from behind. "Please, believe that I am innocent. I love you," I repeated, my voice filled with sincerity. Raizel erupted into laughter, forcefully removing my hands from around him before pushing me to the ground. "Get your filthy hands off me!" he shouted, laughing mockingly. "There is no way I will allow you to manipulate me ever again!" he declared, heading towards the car, leaving me alone on the ground. "Raizel!" I called out, wanting desperately to tell him about the pregnancy, but deep down, I knew it would be futile. Raizel had chosen to believe the words of a servant over mine. If our love lacked trust, then there was no hope left for us. "Never return to the royal pack, Alexa," he stated firmly, his words sounding like a warning. "The only reason I spared your life is because of the love we once shared. If you dare set foot in this pack again, I will personally end your life!" he threatened, before entering the car. "Raizel!" I screamed, pounding on the car window, but I was ignored as he started the engine and drove away. "Raizel!" I yelled his name, watching helplessly as the car disappeared into the distance, leaving me alone in the woods. Falling to my knees, I cried and pounded the ground. "I am pregnant!" I wailed, my voice filled with anguish. "Why?" I shouted to the heavens, raising my hands in despair. "Why me?"
