Volume - 1 // Chapter - 16

Adventurers Administration --- All Adventurers and aspiring Adventurers are being registered in a said Organization. The ones controlling the entirety of the dungeons and gates spurring everywhere throughout the Kingdom. Also, the ones mandating the rules and regulations of the Adventurers who want to perform a "quest", not only to protect their lives from entering the dungeon but also to protect civilians and other innocent races as well.

Quest --- A certain mission prepared by the Association to the Adventurers to perform their duties and responsibilities.

--- It also the quest has a different kind of mission, depending on what types and categories they held in.

At first, the jobs and duties made by the Adventurers are looked easy to understand, yet difficult to perform its tasks depending on what types of quest missions and dungeons you'd entered.

However, that was not just the case of some other dungeons and quests putting together as one, located in an Isolated Village near outside the Town's land territory.

Due to that, The Administration made themselves alarmed and setting it as a preparatory incident that ignoring the said problem is not an option.

[Adventurer's Administration Satellite Headquarters --- Prairie Town]

A Week Ago.

Sam Smeagel --- Investigations head for dungeon raids and quest, Prairie Town satellite office. Also an 'S' rank Adventurer with a wielder of "Superior Awakening" and a possessor of the Demi-being race. He tends to be one of the Strongest Adventurer in Prairie Town, not because they're only 30 individuals living in town with having an 'S' rank license, But the fact that they're only a few people in a said town possessing the power of the "Superior Awakening Eye".

Along with his subordinates, mostly 'A' rank Adventurers, They are the ones responsible for investigating the incident that happened in the dungeons and quest whether on the outside or inside.

Also, among all the departments working its responsibility throughout the Administration. The Investigating Department has been said to be the busiest department since the last month of working.

For some reason, they didn't know what exactly happened during the past month of being busy.

All that they know is that;

"Why are these dungeon gates suddenly becoming into a dungeon break?... How the hell is this thing even possible?" A loud flustered Sam Smeagel asking for his 2 subordinates whose standing right in front of him.

Knowing the fact that spurring the dungeon break will cause the Administration a lot of pure troubles and innocent civilians putting up in a grieve danger.

Unfortunately, even they didn't know what is exactly happening.

They left nothing but to watch their superior having his frustrations and calming him down for a while.

Not only that, Sam Smeagel was a newly-promoted Headmaster and his first assignment was to manage the entire Investigating department assigned in Prairie Town.

At first, he thought it was a blessing for him that promotions are absolute for ones working diligently. But then, after a few days of assigning, he seemed regretful and getting anxious as his workload began harder and harder until he suddenly made up his mind to stepped down as a Headmaster.

'I wish I get reassigned in the other town, far away from this. huhuhuhu.'

As his thoughts were completely gone off his desired work, he suddenly went out of his mind remembering a certain department that was seemingly vacant over the past few weeks.

He asked for its department head for lending him a hand on working out in a said incident.

It was the Adventurer Knights department that lending him a hand at that time.

Fortunately, they agreed on helping him with his work.

As soon as they agreed, they worked around for a couple of weeks, sharing information, subordinates, and cooperations alongside each other. Knowing the fact that the incident they teaming up to accomplished is not as simple as finishing up in a couple of days.

3 days later.

Not a single concrete of evidence nor important information they acquired on the side of Sam Smeagel.

Everyone, especially the department head started getting anxious and disappointed for their slow workload over the past few days.

But then;

At that time;

The Adventurer Knights department is having their concrete investigation for the first time, surpassing the actual Investigation department by its reasoning.

To be headed by Misho Santa, they successfully acquired the said information.

However,

As they only believed that the investigation they held is just only speculation, knowing that the culprit and others involving the said incident had didn't caught up just yet.

They decided to keep it until they confirmed their allegations are correct.

On the other hand;

Sam Smeagel finally made up with his plan, after several meetings he held with his subordinates. By spying out to the Adventurers who entering the dungeons that accepting the high-rank and seemingly suspicious quest.

Though they already knew that it was an absolute taboo for the Adventurers who infiltrating the dungeon whose already on contract, They didn't have many options to choose but to see for themselves what is exactly happening inside of it.

"I will divide you guys into 3, you go all places throughout the Town, even in an Isolated village you will investigation for it." A loud snappy order commanding the Investigations Adventurers.

"Yes, Sir" Everyone replied.

They instantly went out as soon as they finished the meeting.

And so, a day after.

His plans and predictions were made true.

As one of his subordinates who went towards an isolated village outside Prairie Town noticed an unwanted quest that has already been picked up by some unusual party lineup with a seemingly suspicious member.

"Sir, we'd found one.... should we go tailing on them?" A rough, lavish voice asking for the Department head to take its orders and commands as if his next turn to move.

By using a transmitter spell, amplified with a communicating device. The two Investigators made their way to the left contacted each other.

Thinking that Sam Smeagel is a meticulous person, couldn't justify the whole thing unless he decided himself very carefully.

He then asked his subordinate regarding those persons who accepted the said quest.

"The Quest was a 'C' rank, also the highest remark rank for the week in this village."

"So what about it! Do you think your report has come kind of important? Go find some reliable source and dig it! " A loud, impatient voice made by Sam Smeagel scolding up his subordinate.

"No Sir it's a pointless report did I made, But Sir I recently found out about the quest participants they held in."

"And what about it?"

"Only 3 Adventurers participating on that quest... Not only that, they seemingly famous in this village for some reason..."

The Department head paused for a while, thinking something that regards a certain rule of Adventures when entering in a dungeon while the quest participants didn't require.

It was a 3-man Dungeon raid party strategy.

Due to that, he made himself wondered and curious of what outcome did the 3 Adventurers when entering in a said quest and dungeon.

Knowing the fact that the dangers lie even more to those Adventurers with only minimal members, far lower than the desired number of participants.

"Sir... your orders?" A subordinate asking for the head's response.

"Yeah... Yeah... follow them, you three will go tailing their path, don't get caught at all times and avoid any unwanted contact with them nor the monsters and magic creatures at all cost." A wild, emphatic response he ordered towards his subordinates.

As soon as they ended up their conversation and taking its orders to their head.

The three Investigators are started to spy on those three Adventurers without getting noticed.

Knowing that the Adventurers they tailing in are Cassandra Smith, Misa Togo, and Levi Furiman.

[Present Day]

Inside the Dungeon.

The magic auras are emitted freely when a person nor the Adventurer once getting inside the dungeon.

As they all know the places where they went in are the ones called 'home' for the monsters and magic creatures. But for the side of the Adventurers, they are called 'Territory of the Enemy'.

Not only that, due to the magic crystals and other live elements occurring in this place, they instantly reacted towards the magic auras created by the People nor the Adventurers causing them to emit randomly and to lit up their light accordingly.

Also, the reason why Cassandra and Misa made easily arrived in the deepest part of the dungeon, and the reason why Levi couldn't see properly through the dark.

And so, The Investigators had their succession on entering the dungeon without being noticed from both physical body and magic presence against the magical creatures and the Adventurers, by casting a high-level stealth spell, able to hide their magic presence and also able to made their physical body to form a camouflage.

"So, what know?" One Investigator asked.

"What if we watched each one of them?" Another Investigator suggests.

"Wait... That's a good idea... Let's scattered up for a while, You two go with those 2 female Adventurers, I go with this weak, pathetic one." The Investigator team leader made its plan for their mission.

"Be careful of those 2, especially for that younger ones. I sensed a bit eerie vibe for that young woman." He added his instructions before they leave.

Several minutes had passed by.

The two investigators felt an intense magic aura coming from their front as for them they are the first one to reach its presence against the enemies, a few minutes early than Misa's Awakening presence.

"There they are... Magic creatures..." One Investigator was alarmed.

"Wait... those are ... orcs?" He added.

"Yeah... and not just only an ordinary infantry, but it looks like the entire army is already gathering in one place. Like they're waiting for someone to come and declaring war for a reason... what should we do?" Another Investigator replied.

"Wait... I guess they can be made it somehow. We need to dig in more to find out what are those reasons for the dungeon break to exist frequently." He replied.

After a few minutes of watching the battle;

While Cassandra Smith and Misa Togo fighting for their lives to survive at that time, the two Investigators started to itch their guts wanting to help them out against the formidable magic creatures.

Unfortunately, they couldn't be made it because the importance of completing the mission was a far reluctant and life-saving decision for the benefit of many than saving the two reckless Adventurers and abandoning the task they hardly prepared.

At that time;

Levi Furiman was already finished mining, and finishing the first quest task instructions afterward.

The team leader didn't seem regretful as what he saw on Levi's physical perspective at first while keeping an eye on him every single time.

"Wait... what the hell? I never thought this kid doesn't have any sort of magic aura... but what is this uneasiness feeling I did felt the whole time following on him? Did I feel overwork or something?" The team leader having his thoughts on his mind at first.

But then,

The more he followed Levi, the more pressure and confusion he felt on him over time.

"Wait... wait... wait... what is going on? ... For that kind of weak, fragile body can run for at least 15 minutes with the same constant speed. From what I calculated, we running for at least 50kph. And yet still doesn't seem exhausted and tired... What kind of strength did he just possess.

Speaking for that.

He finally caught up on his mind about the Awakening powers did Levi Furiman possessed.

That made him felt intrigued and curious about it.

Suddenly,

As he kept observing the movements made by Levi Furiman, he later noticed a group of orcs swarming towards Levi's path.

Knowing that those magic creatures are their first encountered since entering the dungeon.

He tried to attack at first, knowing the fact that the enemies Levi facing are so strong and invincible.

All of a sudden, the team leader noticed the speed and momentum that Levi Furiman made. Since then, he hasn't stopped and didn't even tried to slow down as he hastily approaching the outraged Magic creatures that made the team leader alarmed and terrified for his situation.

Because of it, he intentionally releasing the stealth magic into his body, wanting to rescue Levi before the danger comes into him.

However,

In a matter of seconds;

His thoughts on helping the Adventurer was gone, perish in an instant as the one who was supposed to leave in danger, was the one having a spree on killing the enemies very plain and quickly.

He quickly reverted his magic spell after the battle ended. Thinking that Levi couldn't sense his presence instantly.

He also felt astonished as he saw piles of magic creatures' dead bodies lying on the ground, lifeless and formless.

Terrified and Perilous, as what he felt towards the man standing right in front of him after he nonchalantly killing the magical creatures at a rapid pace.

But what he felt frightening towards the man's very existence was that;

"Wait... Why is the glaring at me, while I'm in a stealth mode.."

"Did he just saw me after I released my spell very recklessly?"

"No, that's nearly impossible. I returned into stealth mode as quickly as I can... And yet his eyes kept glaring at me.."

As he kept wondering how did he put his depth, chilling situations in such a small amount of time.

He suddenly realized something that made him felt even more terrified and couldn't lay a single finger on him.

"What kind of Eye of the Awakening was that?"

"And why is it his Eye of the Awakening has a color and placing on the right side of his eye?"
