Evie is in no mood to leave the room of her dreams, but we have to go. I love to see her be happy here with her father and this place, but the thought of leaving my mother alone too long scares me, although I just got off the call with her and she told me she was fine. When I first tell Evie about leaving in the middle of her tea-making session in the dollhouse, she frowns, and I prepare myself for the tantrum she’s about to throw.
