“What the hell?” Liam stumbles backward, turning with surprise, his back hitting the side wall. He looks at me, his eyes widening with shock, and then narrowing once he knows who ambushed him. “How dare you?” I say again, taking a step back. His eyes dart away and he shakes his head as if I’m just a stranger bothering him. That fuels my anger. “I told you. I was clear. Why drag my daughter into this? Why would you visit her in her school without my knowledge?” His eyes shoot back at me.
