She is standing by the kitchen counter with a water bottle.
"I want to make dinner for everyone, besides I am fine now, so I should be OK doing this , I said, smiling at her.
"OK, what are you going to cook ? she asked.
"Spaghetti and meatballs, I said.

I nodded and got to work.
