I looked around for any place I could hide .
But by the stairs there was no place to hide and the steady approach of footsteps made me panic.
"Nathan, what are you doing here , the Alpha needs you" Kristy's voice rang out, making me heave a sigh of relief.
"I came to get the photo of the former Alpha, it is needed for the funeral, Nathan replied."
" You should go to the Alpha.." "He needs you. I will get the photo." Kristy told him.
"OK but be quick, we need it now." He agreed and his receding footsteps sounded in the empty house.
"Come down quickly and take this, make sure you get it done ASAP, she said, handing me a white paper and painting supplies.
I took it from her hand and dashed out of the house.
I got out of the house and sneakily walked to the hospital.
