Chapter Eight My first day in London everything was a blur. There was so much to see, and I could hardly see it all. Adrian took me to the Abbot’s directly from the train station, so I could get settled. Richard Abbot was at work, so I wouldn’t be meeting him until later, but Melanie Abbot gave me a most gracious welcome. She was a bright vivacious woman, with a pile of brunette curls atop her sweet plump cheeks and excitable eyes. I was relieved that she was content to have me stay with them.
