Chapter 5
Double checking his gun is in place in the back of a police van, Seth doesn’t really feel nervous despite the high stakes. He’s done this before and as always, his mind goes Zen. They have a location for Ed Jones, the man who poisoned Dawn and at least one other person. Someone who hates shifters, his kind, for God only knows what reason.
Seth leads the way up a staircase to the man’s apartment. The team of detectives flank the door and knock. A few moments later the door is opened. They have their weapons drawn, and it’s a blur as they get Ed Jones into handcuffs and drag him down the stairs and into a squad car.
Seth doesn’t get to speak to Ed Jones. Homicide has moved in on the case, but they let him sit on the other side of the glass during the interview process. At first,
