Initial Outline Part One-Write Down Ideas  What if the Enchantress from Beauty and the Beast was the one break the curse? The Enchantress is a struggling apprentice who didn't mean to curse the prince. Magic seems to get out of hand every time. The Enchantress and the Prince belong to war-torn countries and are life-long enemies.  Part Two -Draw a plot using the ideas Who are the Enchantress and the prince?  Amara is a struggling apprentice to the most powerful magician in her kingdom. While powerful in her own right, she struggles to control her magic and gets even the most basic of spells correct.  Connal is the Crown Prince; his kingdom has been at war his whole life. He shows no interest in the fate of his kingdom or the kingdoms that his father wars against. What sets them on the path to meeting?  When Amara receives devastating news that disrupts her city and her entire life, she runs from her apprenticeship. She finds herself huddled in the same inn that Prince Connall is stopped at during a parade of debauchery.  Why does Amara curse Connall?  While Amara’s world is upturned, she becomes enraged that Connall is partying his way through a broken world. Her magic gets away from her, and she speaks ancient words that turn into a curse. Connall and his closest friends are hit with the curse.  What does the curse do? The curse sharpens each of their senses and causes them to change into powerful creatures.  What brings Amara and Conall back together? They both meet each other on the road years after the curse is cast. Conall doesn’t recognize Amara as the woman who cast the spell. They spend several months together and endure trying times. Part Three -Add scenes, supporting characters, and logic Scene 1:  Our protagonists are introduced along with the ongoing conflict between kingdoms. Amara receives devastating news that leads her to run away from her apprenticeship. This infuriates and embarrasses her master. A riot breaks out in the streets. Amara takes cover at an Inn. Scene 2:  Amara and Connall are at the same Inn. Amara loses her temper and unwittingly casts a curse on Connall and his five closest friends.  Scene 3:  Three years later, Amara and Connall find their lives significantly changed. While discovering how to move on with these changes, Amara and Connall embark on separate journeys to the same location in a third kingdom. They meet on the road and, after an encounter with bandits, travel together, reluctantly. Connall does not recognize Amara.  Scene 4:  While on the road, Connall and Amara face several obstacles and difficulties that bring them closer together. Along the way, Connall is joined by the five friends who were also cursed. More about Connall’s curse is learned as well as Amara’s secret past.  Scene 5:  Connall discovers that Amara is a princess from one of the kingdoms his father has conquered and that she was the one to cast the curse. They separate ways before the journey is over. Amara had fallen in love with Connall and learned that there was more to him than he let be seen by the world.  Scene 6: Amara learns that there is no way to break the curse. Connall learns a secret about his father that makes his warmongering all the more sinister. Connall and Amara find each other and come to terms with their past. Each tells the other what they have learned. Amara, Connall, and his five friends prepare to fight Connall’s father.
