Chapter Four
Tina was exhausted. Now that the immediate pressure was over, she needed something to eat and she needed rest. She asked Evelle where the cabins were and was told to pick one in the officers’ section that was located in between the bridge and the mess. There was enough room.
“I’ll be sleeping here,” Aliz said, jerking her head at the tiny cubicle next to the entrance to the bridge. “Evelle and I are going to take turns at the controls.”
“Is there anything I can do?” Tina asked. It felt like responsibility for this enormous ship rested on the shoulders of too few people.
“Later, maybe. Not now.”
