Carey had no recollection of the incident at the village, where he mysteriously summoned powers and controlled the weather but it did seemed odd that he lost his sense of time. But somewhere deep inside his heart he knew, that there was something changing in him, the piece of the Orb was influencing him. He thought about what the Princess asked him about the strange weather and it did seemed strange to see the savages running for their lives- he questioned himself- was he responsible for this?
“Gosh! This weather, it’s so humid out here,” said the Princess looking at the sun setting down.
“We are almost there Princess, I see a cavern up there- we can take shelter and light a fire, and I think we have some dry bread to fill our bellies,” remarked Carey walking up just behind her.
“So you don’t remember anything about what happened in the village huh? It almost seemed that you were controlling the weather which helped in our escaping!” said the Princess climbing the rocks.
“What? You mean- No! That’s impossible, I’m not some God of thunder! Although it was peculiar that I can’t seem to remember what exactly happen- whoa!” Carey slipped on some rocks and was about to be dragged down but Kali caught his collar and saved him.
He gave a mean look and helped him stand up.
“Ah! Thanks, if you can understand me, phew!” remarked Carey.
“Please be careful where you step, Mr.Carey!” said the Princess.
They found the cavern Carey was talking about but it wasn’t much of a cavern than a stack of flimsy boulders placed on top of another, which seemed like they would crumble down anytime. The evening was calm and cold but peaceful in the hills. There was a small stream on top of the hill and the moon was shining over its sparkling waters. Everybody huddled up around the fire but the Princess said that she wanted to wash herself at the stream. The water fell down from a crack in the rocks and it looked like it came from a much higher mountain up above. She went away for a few minutes and Carey and the others were chatting by the fire. But another couple of minutes later, Carey felt suspicious that she was taking too long. He thought about going to look for her. The mountains were dangerous and strange things have been happening lately.
With great difficulty, he climbed up the hill and walked towards the stream. He heard the trickling of water nearby and as he stepped forwards, his heart began to race. The Princess was bathing under the stream with no clothes on, with her back towards him. Her long wet hair stuck behind her naked back. The faint moonlight glowed on her smooth skin and he could see her body as clear as the day. Suddenly she turned around and kept washing herself with her eyes closed. Carey was about to have a stroke for he never had seen such a beautiful woman in his life. Her bosoms, supple and shapely, like two ripe pears hanging down from a tree- her erect dark brown n*****s glistened under the water. Carey couldn’t help but stare at her shapely waist that looked like a beautiful vase, slim in the middle and curved at the bottom. He knew it was wrong to peep like a pervert but his body froze- he already liked her but seeing her like this made him fall head over heels for her. His eyes went lower and lower as his eyes fixated on the beauty a few inches below her waist- tempting him to almost feel her down there. His heart began to race, as she began to bent down and wash her legs and then she turned her back again- her shapely buttocks accentuated the Venus dimples on her lower back and as she turned around to finish her bath, Carey stared at her deep navel… it looked like it held all the mysteries to the universe. He knew what he was doing was wrong but he couldn’t help it and tried clear the leaves to have a clearer view. But he stepped on a twig and it cracked loudly and the Princess turned around. He hid himself immediately and slowly dragged himself away…the Princess smiled and finished up…
Carey was embarrassed at this incident and cursed himself for staring at her like an i***t. He hoped to God that she didn’t know it was him peeping at her. But he couldn’t un-see what he had just seen. The images of her nude body were forever etched into his brain, but how was he supposed to face her after this? He walked back to the group and saw them fast asleep by the dying fire and he sat down with his back on a rock. The Princess came walking down and he heard the sound of her anklets tinkling. He immediately took out his notes and pretended to be busy. She walked in on the group, fully dressed with a loose top and tight pants. She wasn’t wearing anything underneath which made Carey hard to look at her because he see the impression of her wet and naked body through her dress.
“You still reading Mr. Carey?” she said poking the fire with as stick.
“Ah, yes, I still have to find the waterfall and- and-um, the Orb,” he stumbled for words, her face looked more beautiful than ever as she perched her head on her knees and sat watching the fire.
She smiled at him and prepared herself a bed on the ground and wished him good night, her head was facing towards him and her back was towards the fire. Her cleavage was perfectly showing through her loose dress, her breasts were hanging out, this was too much for him. He walked away to cool off, his feelings were getting in the way of his research.
“Right, right, the map, yes, so we are here, and the waterfall is supposed to be- towards the west of the valley, but there are so many mountains, ugh! God help me- oh!” Carey realized what happened at the village earlier, everything was starting to come to him.
He realized that if he could summon the weather with meditation, then he could find the correct way towards the second piece in similar fashion. He dropped his notes to the ground, took a deep breath and sat down on the cliff, facing the darkness below. A cool breeze brushed his face and he closed his eyes and began to think about the map. Minutes turned into an hour and he was completely submerged in meditation. A warm feeling arose from his chest- he could see his surroundings even though his eyes were closed-
*Swoosh*
A flaming arrow came flying out of nowhere and landed right next to his feet. Seconds later, another arrow came out of the dark, and then a couple of arrows came flying at him. Carey raised his right hand and caught the arrow and slowly opened his eyes. A faint blue light sparkled through his eyeballs, he was not himself, and his past life had taken over him completely. Holding the flaming arrow in his hand, he stood up and stared into the darkness. An army of guerrilla warriors were approaching their location- the Hard Chief had sent his guerrillas to take down Kali. Without uttering a single word, he jumped off the cliff…
The Princess woke up to the sound of Raza and Ram Babu screaming their lungs out in fear. The arrows came flying out of nowhere. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, it felt like she had just had the best night's sleep.
“What happened?” she yawned.
Raza and Ram Babu pointed towards the arrow, “Someone’s shooting arrows, your highness!”
She got up and looked around, but couldn't see anything. Was she still dreaming? The guerrillas were closing in on them. Ram Babu turned around and ran back up to the top of the cliff, but Raza stayed.
She quickly got up and grabbed her bow and arrow, but before she could even put it to her lips, she saw a blue light shoot out of her left hand. It was like a neon sign flashing in front of her eyes, the light was blinding. It was strange, for a second there she felt like she was herself again, but then it faded and she was back in the Fantasy. She turned around, and saw that the guerrilla warriors were retreating back into the forest, the Hard Chief was back in business as usual.
Up on the cliff, Carey was fighting the guerrillas head on. He was blocking every arrow that was coming his way, he didn’t even seem to notice the flaming arrows that were landing all around him. He was slowly making his way towards the camp, when all of a sudden he heard a loud “POW”. He felt a sharp pain in his back and he fell to the ground, he turned around, and another arrow was sticking out of his chest.
The guerrillas were starting to get the upper hand in the fight. They were advancing on him faster than he could block their arrows. He was losing ground, he had to retreat. He turned around and started to run back the way he came, but he didn’t get very far before he felt a sharp pain in his back.
He stood up and looked into the forest, it was like a war zone, bodies were lying around, and some were even still twitching. The Hard Chief was nowhere to be seen. He made his way over to the bodies and saw that the flames on the arrows had melted through his clothes, but there was no sign of the arrows hitting anything. He picked up one of the flaming arrows and inspected it, it was made out of a strange material, he couldn’t tell if it was wood or metal, but it felt like there was a sharp point at the end.
